I know a couple where the woman was 10 years younger and they are still married with 4 kids. It doesn't matter as long as they're equals who love each other.
is it okay for an 18 year old girl to date a 32 year old guy?
02/02/2012
it really matters more than their ages, their maturity level..
02/06/2012
Hmmm. This fine, I think.
02/22/2012
I don't think the age matters. As long as the person is of legal age and that each other makes each other happy
02/22/2012
there's nothing wrong with a 18 year old going out with a 32 year old man. hell, i was 19 years old MARRIED to a 38 year old man! and we're still going strong 2 years later and we will go strong YEARS down the road.
age doesn't matter.
love is genderless, it's ageless.

Age aint nothing but a number, that should say it all

She's a legal adult and old enough to make her own decisions, so yes it's okay.

Why wouldn't it be okay?
03/03/2012
If they treat each other well, then it's okay in my opinion.

When I was 18 I actually did date a 32 year old. We were friends and enjoyed each others company and not just the sexual kind. However we both agreed to apli amicabley as I was headed in a different direction than he was. The possibility for successful relationships are there no matter the age difference, age is just a number. What it really depends on is the individuals personalities and how they mesh as 2 humans.

While they always say that age is always a number, when it comes to dating someone who is still a teenager, that just freaks me out.

You shouldn't date any man that is "a dick" to you.... and that is a pretty big age gap. I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I'm currently 19 and am dating a 32 year old. We have been talking for almost a year. So as long as the two are comfortable with each other the age is just random numbers. They don't matter.

I dated a man that was about the same age gap at 18 and i'm now almost 21 and we are together. I love him and wouldn't have it any other way. Him being a dick to you isn't nice or ok ,but that is between you and him not their relationship. Is it possible its not just his fault? Could it be something you did to cause him to not like you? Is it possible you might be jealous? There are many different factors in this ,but as for the age difference i think as long as the people are happy together there is nothing wrong with it.

I have known a girl who has dated and MARRIED someone WAY older then her like she was 18 and he was 53.
While age is just a number sometimes I think that is EXTREME but to each their own

My two sisters are 13 and 16.5;
His two children are 13 and 14.5.
Yet, for all his family's worries [And that of my own father, though he was being protective if me leaving the nest so to speak], we get along smashingly. We have from day one. It's probably our maturity and the fact that in all honesty I'm an 80 year old in a 20 something's body; And he's a 20 something in an almost 40 year old's body [kidding mostly xD]; But still.
Age is nothing. For hundreds of years, 30+ year olds were married to 13 year olds and it was normal. Because for that time, a 13 year old girl was raised to know her duties. With the freedom we have today, most don't KNOW what they want; Male and Female alike. For me, I do. I'm a caretaker. It's my instincts to be a mother, a spouse, a homekeeper. My spouse is a provider type. It's his instincts to protect and provide.
So, in our case, 17 years isn't a huge gap at all.
Honestly, we don't even notice it until something comes up like:
In 1992 I was 2 and learning to read.
In 1992 he was graduating high school and going into the Air Force. XD
I guess it depends on who they are?

I think it's fine I've dated a 34yo and I'm 22
05/23/2012
it can depend. if she hasn't ever had a serious relationship before it is inappropriate and creepy.
05/23/2012
Definitely unusual, but whatever. Assuming both sides were on equal maturity level, can't see why not.

So the REAL question is...is he a dick to your FRIEND? Because as long as you aren't the one who has to see him every day, it shouldn't really be a problem. Just be a dick right back. But as long as he treats your friend right, age shouldn't matter. I'd date someone more than twice my age if they were a good person to me and we got along.

The only thing that troubles me about your friend and this guy is the fact that he is a dick to you. Talk to your friend about it.
I've had things like this wreck friendships for me and it was devastating. I hated my best friends new guy, he was always a jerk to me and making jokes at my expense. Three years later they're totally over and I can't be friends with someone who let her guy disrespect me like that.

As long as she is a legally consenting adult I have no problem with the age difference. If you are having personal problems with your friend though I think you should bring that up with them.
