I agree. However, part of that is on the manufacturers. Some just don't make nice things in plus sizes (or at all.). :/

I think I am way too much of a goof to ever get taken serious in real costume play. Like my boyfriend really likes costumes and thinks they are hot. But we get too giggly. So scenarios dont really work for us. We kind of fail.

I have this problem as well! My boyfriend complains I laugh way too much during sex so there is absolutely no seriousness to it. I don't see a problem.

I've never been into roleplay, which is probably why I do not like nurse costumes or things of that nature. Costumes, to me, are just things that look nice...HAHA!

Well, servant dress is all over the spectrum depending on period and location. I don't know about the more wealthy homes, but these days, housekeepers just wear normal clothes in most cases, unless their company has a uniform.

I Enjoy corsets and almost steam punk-esque clothing so I suppose on some level there are people that see that as a costume. To me though it's just normal everyday wear. I guess it would be like the whole maid costume for a service sub thing again.. just normal.

So as I was doing some research on the topic of costume fetishes, I found that most don't include military or fetish clothing to fall under that heading. What do you guys think? (And why?)

Hm, that's odd, I'm actually surprised. Maybe they do not consider those to be fetishes, really? Or maybe they're not talked about as much or something? I couldn't imagine why, truly.

I think it makes sense. To the people that wear them they aren't a costume it's just their reality and what they like/are required to wear.

I think military is so out there and obtainable. Perhaps its too broad to fall under the fetish category. A lot of women love a man in uniform.

Well, I have something to say on that. It depends on if you're looking at real corsets or "fake" costume corsets. Real ones you have to lace up, and if the eyelets are real. Plastic eyelets are fake. I am a bigger girl and I have found that real ones fit me just fine.
