I like the privacy on eden fantasy. And not having to pay at the cashier and blushing.
Would you buy toys at a pharmacy?

My Doc prescribed a "pump" for me and I picked it up at the pharmacy.
Does that count?
Does that count?

Since I have EF...no. But it would be pretty cool if society allowed that.

Before, condoms and lube were all kept in a small, locked case, so you had to ask for them, and the selection was very small. Now there's a big, open shelf and you can just grab what you need and the selection, while still not fantastic, is a lot bigger than it was. Imagine my surprise, though, when on the top shelf they now had a few traditional vibrators and some cock rings!
Now, obviously Eden is where I go for most of my quality supplies, but I'm stoked that if one of my traditional vibes dies on me I can just take a quick walk to get one if I don't want to wait for shipping. Would anyone else go to a pharmacy to get a cheap toy, if one near you sold them? Would you be too embarrassed? Or are you just patient enough to keep buying from here? less

I didn't even know they sold toys haha
12/22/2012
I probably wouldn't. It just feels sketch to me. Plus I like Eden and being able to shop around. However, perhaps it is a sign that we are moving toward a more open society in some places?
12/22/2012
I might

I think I would stick with Eden. Eden is a great site and there is so much more here then just toys!!
12/22/2012
Probably not, but it's good to have the option.

Interesting

Epiphora did a review on drugstore options on her blog awhile back. I think lifestyles' toy was the worst. Durex might have been the best.

Technically, "octopuses" is also correct, at least if one desired to use an English plural instead of the original. But I like to say "octopodes" because no one corrects me on it - they either just think I'm being wacky or they ask why I say it, which allows me to give a miniature linguistics lesson! (In case anyone's wondering, "octopi" is considered an example of pseudo-Latin, though usually only hard-core language geeks will call you on it.)

Talking about octopodes in a sex toy thread? Well, remember folks: "on topic" is just an anagram for "on pot? IC!"

I bought a Durex vibe at my local CVS some time ago...and I wish I hadn't. Okay, honestly, it was MUCH cheaper there than what it sells for here on Eden, but the toy was crap. It had no power compared to even the simple corded bullet I was used to from Cal Ex. But I was desperate and bought what was right in front of me when my bullet died and I didn't have a credit card to buy anything online (this was before I knew Eden had points because they weren't around when I first started buying from here).
12/25/2012
mine only has vibe rings...so..no.
12/26/2012
I much prefer to do that kind of shopping online.
12/27/2012
I prefer Eden, but I wouldn't not buy something if I needed it! I actually love the look of the cashiers faces when i buy something naughty!
12/27/2012
that just depends on the toy and if it was a good one or not
12/28/2012
I don't know...I'm kind of picky about these things. Depends on the selection, I guess
12/29/2012
I would if i didn't know the cashiers haha
12/29/2012
No! Definitely not! This is why I shop at EF now. In the past it used to be at Spenser Gifts and never could get good product reviews at the store as I did here. Not only that all the toys were either plastic or jelly covered. No I like my Silicone and partial Silicone products. I like having a reliable audience for objective reviews. You try having this conversation at your local drug store or any others and see how helpful they can be.

The most pharmacies over here sell is very over priced Durex vibrators so we definitely wouldn't.
