Hmmmmm a book that couples can read aloud. That sounds like a great perspective.

Did you have a favorite story? You don't have to say mine.

Interesting concept! I have written a handful of stories from the male POV, but I always worry I'm getting something wrong...

If you are too shy, I seriously suggest AdultFanFiction.net to post stories in an accepting environment or put them on your blog and receive feedback that way. Once you get some feedback, you'll be much more confident.

For being in the midwest, I'm quite impressed with our Borders and B/N, they're Erotic Romance section is growing, and even our used bookstores have carved out a section.

Yup, collection of stories for couples to read aloud. I'm single, but I'd love to have a book like that for when I have someone.

Oh, yay! That was a fun one to put together — a sex story for each hour of the day...
I loved all of the stories except the exhibitionist one where the couple lived on a very sought after sight seeing route and made love in the window...but then again I have kids and it's hard for me to divorce myself of that. Still it was a hot read, just....uncomfortable.

This is really funny but I have figured out the "proclivities" of the chain stores based on buying patterns and years of data;

Borders likes Bondage
Barnes and Noble loves lesbian erotica (we think a lot of straight men reading, too)
Books A Million prefers male domination

Now, there is some insider info for ya!

I think it's the "family-friendly" label that Apple has. Those small, but vocal, anti-porn/erotica groups scare the bejeebers out of Steve.

Hi Everyone, this is my first time on the forum. Have been thinking about trying my hand at writing erotica, but have no idea where to begin. I currently write health & fitness articles...

I prefer third person when reading aloud as a couple, because "I" just feels awkward sometimes. When I read alone it doesn't matter though.
Now, I hadn't thought of that. But yes, if you're reading "I" it might get uncomfortable.

Interestingly, one of my favorite stories in Fairy Tale Lust ("Sleep Tight" by Janine Ashbless) is written in the male first person. I would love to read it at an event, but it feels strange to be reading about my hard cock. Gender bending is one thing, but he's most definitely supposed to be a man!

How do you guys keep your fairy tale collections fresh? I can think of like 5-6 books right off the top of my head, and of course the Beauty trilogy.
