a little concerned

How concerned are you about how safe your lubricants are?
08/02/2012
We pretty much only use Sliquid Sea
08/02/2012
I try to be very careful about what I put inside me.

Glycerin and I don't get along when used vaginally, so I avoid it like the plague.

As long as it's approved for internal use, I'll use it.

I used to NEVER worry about such things, despite a chemistry and health care background. Now, since reading all this on EF....YIKES, I am TERRIFIED of half the stuff out there, and WORRIED about the other half!!!!

We know what we like and what works for us, and I have had only TWO UTI's in my whole life and ONE yeast infection and in all three cases, I darn well know what caused them. (The yeast infection came from turning my coochie into a HOT FUDGE SUNDAY for his birthday, years ago. Not knowing or thinking what CHOCOLATE SAUCE and Maraschino Cherries would do in there)!!!!!

Definitely, in those circumstances, I'd keep probably to the same lubricant for life.
However, BOTH the favorite lubes we use are full of chemicals that are NOT on the EF "happy list", that users keep citing, so we now try a zillion different ones, looking for SAFE and GOOD.

My wife and I have sensitive skin so we have to be careful already

FYI - I thought that this was an interesting discussion, but the link didn't work on my computer and took me to Edge Boston's news index instead. For those reading this thread late like I am, the name of the article is Lube Alarm and it can be found through the search feature on the linked page.

I've never gotten an infection or had a reaction to a lube, but how safe it is for toys matters to me.

I try to use good lubricants, and most of the time I do. I don't think I always have, though.

I'm moderately concerned, but don't really do anything about it.

For us, as long as it works well and neither of us have an adverse reaction to the lube, we're happy. But since discovering Liquid Silk and Maximus, we haven't used anything else since.

I am allergic to everything so I am picky on those issues and I avoid things that can be bad whenever possible, but it's hard to find stuff that is a reasonable price sometimes.

very concerned and always use best

Me and my GF are both very sensitive so I always check

I try to stay away from anything flavored. Yeast infections suck.
03/10/2013
I'm fairly concerned. I like organic lubes like Intimate Organics.

As my lovers pussy is the utmost importance to me I only get the safest lubes out there
05/14/2013
My wife is very mindful about the ingredients in A LOT of things, and I've learned to become mindful from following her example. Seems like sex lubes are something to be especially careful/cautious about. Fortunately, we've found Sliquid Organics gel works great for all the things we do, and it seems to be about as safe as it gets.

I'm pretty sensitive to unsafe materials so it's caused me to be conscientious about ingredients. I lived under a rock for a while and didn't use any lubricants, but now I use coconut oil if needed.
I plan to try some of the safer lubricants mentioned here sometime in the near future.

I would just keep an eye out for ingredients I have a reaction to.
05/25/2013
I always read the composition of the lubricant, and buy only those brands that have already gained popularity in the market with the quality of their products.
