I'm not married. If I ever do get married, I don't think I'd mind changing my name.
Keeping your name after marriage?

I always thought that I would always keep my last name (keep my Independence and I'm very proud to be my fathers daughter) But I met a man and if we were to marry I would want his last name

im married and took my husbands last name
06/25/2012
changed my last name...

I'm a guy and I wouldn't mind if my wife didn't change her name after, hyphenated would be cool

I'm old fashioned. I can't wait to take my partner's last name.
06/25/2012
For a long time, I planned on taking my partner's name. Now that I'm getting older, getting used to my name, and looking forward to perhaps publishing some work in my field in the future, I really want to keep my maiden name. I'm growing attached to it.

I will take my future husband's name.

I hyphenated my name. Now here's the good part. I am a nurse and his last name is Gross. Professionally I have always gone by my last name until my most recent job and they insist that I am Nurse Gross. I don't like it.

My wife did not change her last name. It doesn't bother me because my family is pretty shity and I'm glad the name will end with me.

Female and keeping my name. Any kids are going to end up with hyphenated names until they're old enough to decide what they want to use.

Im old fashioned

I look forward to taking his, I like his last name better than mine.

I'm female and currently unmarried, but when I do I plan on keeping my last name.

I will hyphenate my last name due to my daughter having my last name currently.

I plan to change my last name. I think my last name is too boring.

I would likely take his last name. This is just something that I'm a bit traditional about. I don't care if other women want to keep or hyphenate their names--to each her own. But I like the idea of taking his name. Something about it seems to be symbolically important to me.

I plan on hyphenating my last name or just taking 2 last names.

I changed my name but a lot of my friend did not or hyphenated theirs.

I am "legally" still married to the asshole an I didn't change my last name for 6 months after we got married. I really wish I would have NEVER changed my last name. Once I am able to get my divorce I will get my maiden name back, if I ever marry again I will be keeping my maiden name.

I took my husbands name. The name I had tied me to the emotional and verbal abuse that my mother inflicted on me and I didn't want anything to do with it so I took his name in a heartbeat. I was actually signing papers and whatnot with the name Harriman before I was married!

I'm married and kept my maiden name because... it was my name. It really was/is as simple as that.
10/11/2012
not sure
10/11/2012
I don't know whether or not I'd like to change my name... I'm fond of my current last name, but it my partner's got a really cool one that makes my initials spell out something hilarious, I'd consider it

if my state ever makes it legal, i 'll think about it

I wouldn't change my name, but I'm a man so I wouldn't generally be expected to anyway.
