Unless I'm camping, I must have a tv on while I am going to sleep. Sometimes my husband will turn it off in the middle of the night, but I always end up turning it back on.
Is there a TV in your bedroom?

There is, but it isn't used alot at night. It is for when we are folding clothes in there, are sick and staying in bed, or when the kids are fighting over which show to watch so we can split them up and send them to separate places. Occasionally it will pop it on if we have gone to bed and one of us is ready to sleep but the other isn't.

He: I hate TVs. They make a high-pitched sound and they remind me of the hypno-toad.
She: We just bought our first TV after 3 years of living together. The only reason we got it over a monitor is because TVs are bigger. We don't have cable, just movies.
He: Or Broadcast television
She: I don't even know what the difference is... (noob)

We have a tv in our bedroom.. but we hardly ever use it.
04/10/2011
No. I refuse. The bedroom is for sex and sleeping.

we do not have one in ours. DH would watch it while trying to go to sleep if I allowed it and I can't sleep with it on!

We have a tv in our room so we can watch movies in bed. Sometimes I fall asleep with it still on, but there are also times when it keeps me up and I have to turn it off to go to sleep.
04/11/2011
Yes, and I hate when SO leaves it on to try to go to sleep! I just can't do it!
04/11/2011
We do but we never watch it. Since we live in an apartment and have limited space, it's more for storage than anything since it's a good sized TV and we don't want to donate it just in case we happen to move somewhere else where that TV would be wanted.

We do not have a TV in the bedroom and I like it like that. I used to have a TV in my bedroom when I was teen and it help me fall asleep. But now that I have my awesome, warm, cuddly husband, I dont need it to help me fall asleep. Now my husband probably would like to have a TV in there. We have 2 TV's already, I dont know if we really need to have another one. HEHE

No TV anywhere in my house
04/19/2011
I don't anymore. i used to, but now that hulu is around...

I have a laptop, that trumps a tv.
05/09/2011
Yea, but we never turn it on.lol It's just kind of there.

We have one in our bedroom primarily to watch things our kids don't need to see/hear and especially in the am my wife likes it on as she is getting ready. It definitely goes off though at lights out time.

Some studies have shown that having a television in your bedroom actually can disrupt your sleeping patterns. When the body gets accustomed to using the bed for things other than sleep, that internal memory can actually keep us from getting to sleep. It's amazing how the mind works.
The boyfriend and I just have the single TV in the living room. Nothing in the bedroom but bookshelves (and at the moment) a sex swing stand. No particular reason for the lack of a TV - just seems silly for the bedroom.
So do you keep a TV in your bedroom? Yes or No? And any reason behind it? less

When my husband and I first moved into our apartment we kept a TV in the bedroom, but it barely got used. We've since moved it to the extra bedroom so we can watch TV while on the computer.

No, but not to make any sort of statement. Just because I can only afford one tv and it's in the living room. I use my laptop to watch tv on though so... hell, half the time I'm watchng on my laptop even when I'm in the living room.

No, we only have a TV in our living room.
05/31/2011
No TV in the bedroom. It's just for sleeping and sex!

Dr. Berman does not allow tv's in bedrooms unless you only watch naughty videos on them. I have a tv in my bedroom

Yes but the only thing hooked up to it is my DVD player. We watch movies and I fall asleep watching inuyasha every night with the sleep timer set though. How else would we watch porn in the bedroom?
08/23/2011
Yes we do. All of the above stated reasons.
08/23/2011
I haven't owned a TV in over 2 years.
08/23/2011
Yes I have a large tv in my room

Yes, only because I'm in a college dorm (read: one room for everything). At home I don't have one because I share my bedroom with my sis and we barely have enough room for two twin beds in there.
