As long as the water is hot before it touches my skin, I don't much care.

I turn the water on before I get in the shower.

Since it takes a good 7-10 minutes for warm water to hit the bathroom--we run it for a bit first. LOL!! We aren't Smurfs!!1

It takes a while here to get water from freezing cold to acceptable.

I turn it on and let it heat up before I get in. It takes a good minute or two for my shower to get hot water.

I get in first, then turn it on and yes, I get hit with a quick blast of cold water.

Before! Our water heater is a bit dodgy, so it needs a minute or two running to level out before I want to get under the spray!

I didn't know there was any other way than turning the water on first.

I step into the shower, point the shower-head away from me and then turn the water on until it's at my desired temperature before adjusting it back in my direction.

I turn it on before I get in. I don't like standing there in the cold air before I can get in the shower.

It takes my water forever to get hot so I have to turn it on before I get undressed. I also turn on the shower before I get in, because when the water comes out of the shower head it's colder then when it comes out of the faucet.

When the shower was working (we're having a plumber in today to fix it actually =3 ) I turned it on before we got in so I could make sure it was the right temperature, but that only took about a minute.

I turn it on after because it takes a bit to get warm. If I'm at a hotel I'll usually just get in though because it warms up almost instantly.

In the colder months, I turn the shower on and let it warm up before I get in. In the warmer months, I get in and turn it on.

I tend to turn it on first so that it can warm up before I get in.

Having a separate bathtub and shower, it would be quite unpleasant to enter the shower and then turn on the water to be greeted by cold water. Both my wife and I turn on the shower, let the water warm up, then enter the shower to water that is the perfect temp.

I turn the water on first whether I'm showering or bathing -- so I'm not cold.
