I understand why the law is there, but I feel that most people can make the "right/adult" decision even before they're 18.
The 18 rule...

not under 18

I mean, it is illegal to buy toys under 18, but I think thats a pretty dumb rule, personally.

I don't believe anyone under 18 should be on this site; though as an advocate for the right to anonymity on the internet I believe that someone under the age can and will lie about this fact, thus allowing them to do whatever they want as long as the can pay for it.

Pururin
Most stores around here will let teens buy toys without carding them. Probably because most of the merchandise is classified as "novelty" and "personal massagers'. I personally don't see the problem with 16 year olds buying toys, but I don't think they should be allowed to take part in some of the discussions.

wow No minors should be allowed on here seriously some are a little more mature than ours but still I am sure that it is probably illegal but not sure still a bad idea to allow on this site

the 18 line, while arbitrary, is the law. We can't just ignore it- this is an adult site and Eden can't just say HEY KIDS! COME ON IN!! It's pretty simple

1. 18 is the LEGAL age in which a minor becomes an ADULT!
2. If you are among the 2% that claims to be a minor on this site--LOG OFF until you are 18 years of age. You are jeopardizing many jobs, interfering with people's lives and are illegally misrepresenting your age carelessly. THAT is why there is a law that clearly states you must be an adult to be on an adult site. Adults will respect other peoples jobs, lives and not try to 'sneak' in where they do not belong.
3. Until a law changes, EF will be an adult site that is only open to those of legal age-18+-and there is no compromise!! Ef is not about to 'take one' for a minor. The administrators are diligent about policing the site and protecting the reputation and integrity of Eden--think about it when you place your next order using the awesome site and systems they have designed.
4. Age of consent is usually 16--but that does not mean sex or sex related toys and sites should be available to those CHILDREN. There is a reason they are still not declared legal adults, they are usually not capable of making life altering, long term decisions with all the repercussions and responsibilities that come along with the decisions. Look at how many minors 'sneak', lie, and steal into adult oriented businesses, sites and forums. Why?? Because they can, and there is a law that states they are not supposed to--so like any child, they are going to see if they can get away with it.
5. Be glad it is 18, it could be 21 like the federal alcohol law!!!

Just curious - why do you think sex toys shouldn't be allowed for those under 18? I mean, besides it being the law. I respect that it's the law, and as long as it's illegal, I'm not going to suggest that any teenager tries to break it or visit this site. But what is inherently wrong with a 16 or 17 year old using a vibrator?

It is a legal thing. I think it is right for EF to uphold the laws of most countries.

Buy away!
11/14/2012
I know this is an old post... but WHAT?! You were joking right? You must not have been 18 when you posted this, because any sensible adult would NOT say "Oh, yeah, of course! Minors should definitely be aloud to buy sex toys!"
It's ILLEGAL to sell to minors, and not only that, but teens should be playing with skateboards and makeup kits, not dildos and pocket pussies.
