Beards are sexy as hell. Hope your girlfriend fully appreciates it! Sorry, if that sounds like I'm hitting on you, I'm not... I just love beards.

That isn't a joke, it's a red flag. I am curious as to why you are trying to find out where and how to buy sex toys, if you are 18 and on a sex toy website.

Eden could get shut down and in ridiculous amounts of trouble if any MINORS are here. And you don't want to know what would happen- I think an Apocalypse would come because I would FLIP OUT if some tween got half my world shut down...

Lovely side tangent ladies. Lol Yes, I like beards, but they're not necessary. I don't like excessively wooly ones though.

You're absolutely right! Good luck getting a conservative elected official voting on it though!

Unfortunately, no one wants to be seen as "a friend of the porn industry" in Washington...sadly. People get screwed by banks/credit card companies all the time!

Spencers isn't an adult store. They sell "adult novelties" inside their store, but their policies state that there can't be nudity on any of the products they sell. In fact, Pipedream Products actually repackages some of their line just so it can be sold in Spencers.

They aren't "supposed" to check ID just to let you into their adult section (which, I don't know about your Spencer's stores, but mine stores have the adult section right along with everything else.), but some require ID to purchase. Mine doesn't. Which, honestly with all of the crap that Spencers sells, the adult toys really are the least offensive and worrysome. Some of that crap is just godawful.

As for changing the 18+ rule, it's a law, not a rule. All adult sites must abide by it.

I absolutely agree that the adult toys are the least offensive thing in that store! I wanted to get my daughter a scarf that they had there for Christmas, but I didn't want to bring my son with me to get it (it was going to be from him) becuase he's just starting to read and so he sounds out every word he can find..that and then all the pictures on the shirts and stuff they had there, no thank you! I'll have to go back myself some time though because they had a bright green mighty mite pocket rocket that I NEED to have and Eden doesn't sell!

In my local sex shop, they card you to get into where all the products are displayed, but the lobby area you walk through to get to the entrance has all sorts of porn movie posters. I'm not sure how they can get away with this, there is nudity throughout. Any ideas?

Either they've had their attorneys find a loophole or else they've decided that the risk is worth it, similar to the companies that violate the law because if and when they're caught the fine is less then the additional profits. Not sure which it is, and I think a lot of it would depend on local laws.

honestly i don't really care if people buy or review as long as they do it safely- other than legal issues of "you're not supposed to" people are sexually active at really young ages...I do think there should be like a limitation like high school aged or something

That takes away from a persons freedom. Saying you can buy this but your input doesn't matter. If you put it that way saying they should be able to buy them then they should be able to post as well. Like giveing someone the right to vote but not letting them is how this comes off to me.

This is a legal issue, so matters of EF policy don't really apply. The main interest of government in this is to ensure that minors are not abused or harmed, and so a discussion would need to be aimed at your representatives and address the concerns of the government.

I can't help but wonder if the law against buying sex toys if you are under 18 is a little outdated.

The main reason that I feel like younger teens should be able to legally purchase sex toys is that there's a fair chance that if they don't have access to an actual toy, they are going to find something else to use, and chances are it isn't going to be anywhere near as safe.

I agree. It is the Parents responsibility to educate their children, which includes answering questions about toys. To the kids out there with prudish parents I say, too bad. Go talk to an older friend who is more open about sexual health.

Personally, I think it's more harmful than beneficial to deny teens between the ages 15-17 access to sexual aids, because of the more dangerous routes they might take to alleviate their sexual frustrations...HOWEVER that does not under any circumstance mean that EF should suddenly start breaking laws to assist said teens. Since the laws are in place EdenFantasys should abide by them 100%.

On a side note, I used to go to Spencer's when I was as young as 13. They kept their sex toys right alongside all the other merchandise. They never asked for any ID to enter the store or to purchase a sex toy. I had friends who would walk in, buy a pack of condoms and a toy, and walk right out with no one saying so much as a word. I don't know if they have any age policy in place, but I never saw anything of the like being enforced.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to keep the rule in place. The only time that it ever really bothered me was when I started college at 17. My friends would take a trip to the local sex shop and I'd have to be left behind.

I agree I mean wouldn't someone feel more comfortable with say their daughter using a sex toy on her own than risk having her get pregnant underage.

I agree with you on the idea of having adult only 18 + forums but then again people would fake there age and stuff probably to get in so I think it should be useless anyways. I mean look at spencers they say you have to be 18- up but hell I got a dildo from there at age 14. What makes anyone think people are gonna abide by this is outrageous lol, especially since teenagers are the most horny people.

Spencer's was a God-send when I was 16 and sexually active, although the selection isn't great.

I think the rule should be 16 and older. 16 is the age of consent in many places, so I think it makes sense.

I'm on the fence about pornography. I am of the generation that looked up porn freely as children, when NetNanny did not work AT ALL. I would definitely say that such extensive exposure to pornography made me bored of sex before I even tried it.
