The best way to fight breast cancer is to give yourself monthly exams, but we all know that couples who play together stay together. Once a month, jump in the shower together, soap up and let your hands do some roaming. Check for any visual changes in the breast on both yourself and your partner.
Any lumps or suspicious changes in appearance should be noted and an appointment made to see a physician. Every day through the help of organizations like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, strides are being made in treatments available to men and women.
Though the chance of men developing breast cancer are 1 in 1,000 and far less likely than a woman's, it is still a very real possibility and early detection can save your life or the life of a loved one. Go on, it's okay! We give you permission to feel each other up! Suddenly those Boob Inspector t-shirts are a little more appropriate, no?
Some research has shown that estrogen is a promoter of breast cancer in women; females who are on the pill containing estrogen for birth control for longer than five years show a marked increase in their risk of developing the disease.
Soy products contain levels of estrogen and have thought to be a factor for both men and women. Hormone replacement therapy for women has also been indicated as a risk factor.
For those who consume a large amount of soy products, would you stop eating them if it was proven that soy intake and breast cancer were directly linked?
P.S.
