I really liked this post, as an outsider looking in. I'd never heard of Imbolc or Lady's Day, and found it very interesting to see what goes on to celebrate this day. I also loved the blessings

Agreed it was interesting and cool.

Thanks, I'm planning for it to be a little of the history of what Michele is running from, an explanation as to why she can understand Lucy, and who/what Aedan really is. A little fantasy, a little erotica

So often I find that historical pieces written by pagans seem to almost demonize the Catholics but I loved how Bex didn't go there just made a simple point that Brigid was canonized as a Patron Saint. It kept the focus on the topic of the piece rather than veering off on a tangent.

I still have 3 stories yet to read. I'm getting there.

@Airen, I'm so proud of you for finishing your story and putting it up for everyone! I'm sorry I didn't get to your other story yet.
@Redboxbaby! Wow! That was a very hot, intriguing story. I loved the whole concept that you didn't know for part of the evening that you were supposed to be in your submissive character.
@Lauren, that was a beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing that bit of intimacy.
@Bex, that seems like an interesting ceremony/celebration. I will admit I know nothing about it.
@Silvi, that was an interesting story. I am a little confused on what sort of creature that was. Gnome?
@Alys, I'm SO SORRY that I didn't get to read your story yet. I had it up on my computer all day and just couldn't focus my eyes to read. (Lack of sleep is not good for the reading)
Great job everyone! I'm interested in seeing what next month's themes will be. I'm hoping something about Ireland in there somewhere, because I have emerald coast lines in my mind! less

Alys...OMG that was an amazing start to what I hope will be a series? Please? I wanna know how and why she can understand her cat and who the heck is Aedan? Can I get one of my own?
I loved the simple descriptions and how it all seemed to flow. It was very easy to picture what was going on. It left me a bit breathless to be honest.

Definitely a series! It'll be a little slow at first, but I have plans for Michele and Aedan... I am so glad that you enjoyed it, I tend to write for myself first and use descriptions that work for me, so it's good to know that it works for other people too!

I often find that the pieces I write for myself are better recieved that ones I write to suit someone else. It's almost like having a movie in your head and then describing it to someone else. It seems to come out more vivid and real if I write like that.

I have often thought that if we could speak to any other creature on the planet we wouldn't feel so alone, ya know? Then again we might discover truths about ourselves we might not really want to know....
02/14/2011
WomanChina, omg, your story is pretty much exactly what I look for in erotica.
02/14/2011
Should we maybe start a topic catagory that sort of runs every month that is series continuations?
We'd choose two new topics a month and the third would be a chance for authors to continue a story that people find appealling. Does that sound like a good idea?

Talking to cats, I often thought would be interesting, but very humbling. I just like their personalities, and can imagine a sarcastic Dogbert-like side-kick, if we were ever able to communicate with them

I definitely think that would be a good idea. This way we don't have to worry about a story having to wait for the right category to continue.

I loved the exhibitionism touch to it the most. That is pretty much my all time top turn on, reading or seeing in porn. I love it, and stories that can capture that essence without being really over the top really get me going.

Wellit seems to be a concensus amoung us here that the one set topic each month is a good idea so let's put that into play for next month. Then all we have to do is choose two more topics.

Lauren's poem was very heartfelt and her grief came through in the poem. I liked that there was also a thread of hope running through it that she would see her friend again someday.

The entire series is about voyeurism and exhibitionism sprinkled with a little spice and thrill. I do feel it is important to bring what really does happen into my stories to make it more real for the reader. Besides.... what is sex and erotica without a little humour?
