i jumped straight to silicone. and so glad i did!
What material was your first sex toy made out of?

It is velvety soft plastic, and I still love it; but I've only had it a few months. I also have some silicone ones, but I don't like the shapes as much

an ro 80 mm bullet and it was too weak. Still own it, though some of the shiny coating has worn off. I don't use it anymore.

My first toy was made of 'velvet coat'. Was a very crappy toy to say the least xD
03/03/2012
It was cheap and plastic. Should have waited for something nicer like silicone.

Mine was plastic!

it caused itching, burning, off-gassed and smelled horrible... it was a nightmare. even after using a condom, still burned.

Jelly! It was one of the lucid dreams line, I forget which. It was pretty good since I had nothing to compare it to, but I've moved on!

My first toy was the I Rub My Duckie, which is latex apparently. Never had any issues with it (well, at least not with the material). Don't own it anymore because it's just not a very good toy so I got rid of it once I started collecting nicer vibes.

jelly or plastic i cant remember
04/29/2012
cheap jelly lol

A cold, hard plastic vibrator I picked up at Spencer Gifts when I was like 20. One day I woke up thinking of the adage that men are born with a penis and a road map of the world. I decided that women should have a vibrator and a periodic table of elements, and made it my day's mission to acquire them.
I would absolutely not ever buy that cheap piece of crap toy again. It worked for my mission, and it actually worked for a little while, but it was uncomfortable and the motor burnt out very quickly. I used it as a dildo for years, until I realized that there was WAAAAAAY better stuff out there.

My first one was jelly and I don't still own it.It didn't cause any side effects mostly because I didn't get to use it because it was too big.No I don't consider the material safe. And yes I would buy it again just for nostalgia.

Velvety plastic! It was an o'my pixie vibe.
05/02/2012
Mine was a jelly vibe, and it didn't last long.

A $15 plastic egg and... a jelly dildo
05/14/2012
my first toy was a hard plastic vibrator.
05/27/2012
Jelly or something awful
05/27/2012
plastic or jelly i cant remember

Mine was this: plastic with PVC attachments (I voted plastic since almost never used the attachments and promptly threw them out)

My first vibrator was made of jelly. I bought it on impulse without researching materials safety. It was a great toy though, but I don't use it anymore. I didn't get any infections, or rash, or anything.
06/21/2012
Jelly. And of course, I melted it on accident...but I loved that thing til the day it died!
06/21/2012
Was a cheap plastic vibe.

Mine was a hard plastic bullet. I still have it and would buy another one if it ever breaks down on me.
Although I've made some pretty bad purchases after that before I discovered Eden.

My first toy was a cheap $10 plastic vibe from Spencer's I recently toss it about a year or 2 ago as I didn't use it anymore. Never caused a rash or anything but no I wouldn't buy it again either
07/03/2012
the mood vibrator large. plastic.
07/06/2012
Silicone
07/19/2012
unfortunately it was jelly

A plastic bullet that crapped out on a me in a month. I bought a replacement and still have that one. It's a good bullet that I still really like. Knowing what I know now, plastic is a decent material so ya I'd buy it again.
