Unless they are torn apart to a totally useless stage, I keep them as backup. I can usually make anything work for something. Even if it means ripping bullets out of something or mixing and matching.

Mine unfortunately end up in the bottom of the drawer. And if it was a good toy and someone had one similar and wanted to give it up I would gladly take it as long as I knew it was a material that could be well cleaned.....

I've gotten rid of many low quality toys - but some get recycled in the bedroom. Sometimes a toy that didn't work for some reason will come back into favor. I just look through the stash once in and retry some of them.

As long as it can be sterilized (Silicone) I have no problem with used toys! I will admit, my instant reaction was "Ew..." but that quickly changed.
So far, the only toys I have that I hated enough to never use again, are ones that can't be sterilized..so unfortunately they sit unused in my drawer, but if I come across a silicone toy I hate I will pass it on or trade/sell it.

I would probably throw it away. There is no way I would use a used sex toy. It just seems so wrong....and I would feel weird asking someone if they wanted it. I would be afraid to offend them

My brother-in-law once gave hubby some of his old cock rings. Hubby said "there is no way I am wearing something that was around my brothers' balls!" So we tossed them. I've thrown away toys if they are pure junk or are painful and I wouldn't want anyone else using them either.

I have a slight sex toy hoarding problem... even if it's not my favorite, even if I'll probably never use it again, I usually don't get rid of toys. The exception would be jelly toys and anything else that degrades and gets yucky over time, although I no longer buy those and have thrown most of mine out at this point. Anything high-quality will be kept, even if I don't love it.

Right now they're at the bottom of a rubbermaid tub, to be literal. Eventually I'll probably send the ones I don't like to a recycle program or something. Sterlizable ones I will exchange at times.

I tossed all of my jelly toys, or gave them to the brick and mortar store I used to live near when they had a recycling deal for Earth Day (bring in an old toxic toy, get 30% off a new one!). The rest are just in a separate box at the bottom of my toy area.
I have one of these, and the two of us did NOT get along. I really, really hate the shape of it. I have actually been plotting something awesome to do with it, because it sticks on the wall so well. Imagine all the places you could put it! Think of the bus stop ads you could pervert! I considered using it as a coat hanger in my apartment, but it's just a little too graphic for most of my visitors. But quickly sticking it in some choice place in public, taking a picture, then making an unobtrusive getaway is very very appealing. I don't want it anymore, and I think it could bring me more joy as a prank than it could in its intended use.

I haven't had many toys that I disliked to the point of wanting to get rid of them. We have, however, thrown out our old jelly toys after they started breaking apart, and a few scruffier bondage and sensual play products that were too terrible to hold onto and no one wanted.

I don't throw them out unless they're broken/defective, I just relegate them to the back of the toy box. In a sex toy emergency, a toy that isn't my favorite performs double duty in a pinch.
If they're sterilizible or if they've only been used by me, and a partner enjoys it, I'm happy to give it to them.
I haven't had any that didn't work at ALL for me, really, and if I ever come across one I expect that I'll make some kind of sex toy art with it, make it into something that DOES work for me.

If a toy can be sterilised I've been known to give them away to friends, but if they are really bad, poorly made or not created from body safe materials they usually end up in the trash... unless they are super cute and look like animals or other everyday things as i kinda collect toys like that

I keep the majority of my toys. A few get tossed in the trash, like the vibrator that felt like fucking a mini Christmas tree. My first rabbit got trashed, too. Its surface just felt sticky and I didn't want to risk it. I've swapped some of my toys I didn't want, but relatively not that many considering the size of my collection.
