My mom talked to me about it, but I wasn't living with her actually. I'm glad she was able to be open with me though. It was probably easier since she wasn't the one raising me.
Mine never did...I wish they had. It was just implied in a round about way that "girls don't do that".

I had a small talk about my body, how it's changing, and exploring it. She gave me a book and told me I could ask for a mirror if I wanted to check things out. XD A little embarrassing, but it went quick. I mostly learned about it on my own though.

My mom is a nurse and my dad is a very sexual person. Never got a talk or anything, but after I turned 13 there always just happened to be lube and condoms in the bathroom (and my mom has been "fixed" since I was 5).

In Germany there is a very famous teen mag, called Bravo.
At page 20 you could find everything you wanted to know about sex, contraception, masturbation and so on.
It was quite common to read the mag at age 12 or something like that when I was that age.
I think it became more prude during the years, but I'm not exactly sure.
