I sanitize with boiling water when I need to because I don't want to wait until I have enough toys to make it worth it to run the dishwasher

Never, I feel that washing them by hand is the best way for cleanliness. I can't imagine putting stuff that's been in my butt through a machine that cleans stuff that I put in my mouth. Nope, not for me.

Since you really don't want to get dish detergent on your toys (it really has some chemicals that are not great for you and can be corrosive) you have to run the dishwasher without soap with just your toys. That sounds a little excessive. If your toys are silicone or steel then a quick boil and they are done.

I don't own a dishwasher but don't think I would even if I had one.

I imagined putting it in with the dishes and that just sounded gross to me, although it would technically get sufficiently clean. And washing them separately just seems like a huge waste of water. So nah.

Nope, I'm too nervous that it'll explode in there (you never know) or someone will find it.

No, I don't own a dishwasher, but I doubt I would even if I did... I wouldn't want someone to accidentally find one of my toys lol

i just don't trust it not to ruin them or leave a residue. plus i wouldn't wash them in same load as dishes out of respect for other, lmao. so it would be a waste of water and electricity

I never have, but then again I haven't had a dishwasher in a long time. I might if I had one, though.

Nah! I can't imagine a toy that would need a 40 minute cycle that I couldn't accomplish by hand in 2 - 3 minutes. Same goes for dishes, actually.

I wouldn't simply because I'm worried about the safety of my toys. Things get pretty rough in there and stuff gets tossed around quite often. Granted, a toy is probably heavier than the cups and bowls that get overturned, but still. We also have -really- hard water and the racks in the dishwasher are -coated- in this scraggly, white build-up. It's like we stuccoed the racks. It's all rough and scratchy. That would be horrible if my silicone toys got all torn up.

Probably not the entire toy, but maybe one of the coverings or sleeves. Also I like to clean them right after I'm done and I don't go dishwasher every day.

Nope. No dishwasher. But I probably wouldn't bother.
