Do you wash your sex toys in the dishwasher?
07/15/2011
Never. Dishes come out of my dishwater so dirty all the time!
07/17/2011
I'm not sure I'd want something that's been in my vagina and/or ass right next to the dishes I eat off of.

+1. Antibacterial stuff (with the exception of alcohol-based hand sanitizers which are okay in a pinch) is a pet peeve of mine.

(1) Indiscriminate use can promote the growth of resistant bacteria
(2) Especially with porous toys you're running the risk of getting some of the chemical in your sensitive bits.
Plain soap or detergent works pretty well, and if you need sanitizing you should go with something that really works. less

Not whilst I'm sharing a house with other people!

when i'm feeling lazzyy, yes. best for silicon toys
08/04/2011
I answered yes, but I only wash my glass ones in the dishwasher, and only when I'm feeling lazy. Other than that, no.
08/14/2011
No, wastes too much water and I would not trust the cleanliness of my toys.
08/23/2011
Never have, and never will. To many unknown chemicals get used in the dish washer.
08/31/2011
Yes the ones that are safe for the dishwasher.

I have used the dishwasher once before - no soap, top rack, glass and silicone dildos only. And that was only because other people would be seeing and touching them (I hosted a toy party). Everything with a motor got a thorough cleaning with a 10% bleach wash (all of my toys are silicone, and I have a few hard plastic toys).
08/31/2011
Nope.
08/31/2011
Definitely not. I can't imagine having enough toys to run the dishwasher for just toys without soap, and I definitely don't want to throw in one dildo with my housemate's dishes. Handwashing with soap and water works just fine for me

we don't own a dishwasher so even if we wanted to, it isn't possible
09/08/2011
I'm not so sure I'd feel comfortable putting them in the dishwasher. I don't know why, it just seems strange.
09/14/2011
I have a dishwasher but don't even use it to clean the dishes haha. I'm just so used to cleaning things with my hands, and that goes for dishes AND toys
09/14/2011
I'm pretty happy with just washing my toys in the sink with toy cleaner and hot water. If I ever felt the need to super-sanitize, I'd boil the little darlings. Takes less time and uses less water, and I don't have enough toys to fill up the top rack anyway. Plus, I have a tendency to forget to empty the dishwasher for a day or two, and living at home, I wouldn't want to have to explain to my dad why the dishwasher suddenly filled up with dildos.
... Replace "dad" with "handsome visiting neighbor" and the scenario suddenly sounds like the start of a porno, doesn't it?

Sounds silly. Didnt even know it was an option
09/21/2011
I might if I lived alone, but since I have housemates and try to stay discreet I refrain.
09/26/2011
Sounds crazy
09/26/2011
We use a toy cleaner specifically for before/after use. Occasionally we hand wash with soap and water to get hair and debris off of them. I wouldn't put one in the dishwasher unless it were metal or glass or had a lot of silicon lube on it that I couldn't get off.
09/26/2011
No. I'm not wasting the amount of time/water it takes to do a load of toys, when I have enough real dishes to wash.
09/26/2011
I wouldn't. I do not put that in my reviews anymore either. It's kinda silly.
09/26/2011
Don't orgasm where you eat? Hahaha.
I dunno. Never done it, but I guess it's one way to clean toys. Maybe I'll try it someday.

10/11/2011
I don't have enough toys to justify it, but if I did, I totally would!
10/11/2011
I just don't see the appeal for the average sex toy user. My partner and I dirty enough dishes to fill the dishwasher every few days or so. We just don't own/use enough toys to get a proper dishwasher load before we would want to use our favorites again.
10/11/2011
Nope
10/24/2011
I don't have any without mechanical parts! Chances are if I did, though, I'd just wash them by hand.
10/25/2011
I'd never do that even if I had my own place and owned a dishwasher. It's not that big of a deal to hand wash all of my toys, waterproof or not.
12/05/2011
I have never had a dishwasher, but I don't know if I would ever do that even if I did.
