I was actually thinking of Fallen. I was really not a big fan. It was.. uninspired in many places and over the top in others

I agree completely! And it was SOOO long - or at least it seemed like it. I think they meant well with the plot but it came across kind of confusing and scattered as well.

It seemed overly long to us too, maybe because it was boring overall.

Your review made me want it actually. I'd heard so many good things about it that when you published a "meh" review, I just wanted to see for myself. I remember reading it.

"Fallen" was icky. There are better ones out there. Pirates is great for the humor and plot - not so great with the sex. "Bound" (I'm not sure if EF sells it) has one of the better plots I've ever seen in a porn too.

My taste in porn in general waxes and wanes. I will go months without any desire to watch it at all and then go through a phase where I want visuals.

Sometimes we get some odd ones to review, that aren't quite our thing. Those can get difficult to watch

It's not the most well-known of "Bound" titles, but it's actually really good. Porn is meh, but it's mainstream, so I expect that, but the plot is good.

One of my friends actually told me that some pay per view channels provide Pirates for download for watching - without the sex parts.

Agreed! They actually made an R-rated version of that too, so I guess it's comedy value made up for the predictable sex.

I do recall a few of them making me sit there and go "yes, me too!", although now I can't for the life of me remember which ones they are. I really enjoyed reading about her foray into the world of peep shows.

I liked the whole thing. It wasn't what I was expecting when I got it, but I thought it was well written, and she certainly had some interesting experiences in her life.

Most of what I've been reading has been erotica for the book club, and I didn't read the description of this one much - I was attracted by the title, and noticed that it was by just one author.

So, I was expecting erotica, but this is more a glimpse into Carol's growth into her sexuality. She's pretty insightful, and she's easy to read. She has some fascinating and often funny tellings of how her sexual experiences affected her life, and overall I enjoyed the whole thing.
