There's no option for me to vote. I USED to get UTIs. Within the span of a year I had at least four. This was with good hygiene, and peeing after sex. I know this is going to sound weird to some, but ever since I added raw milk-yes, raw milk-to my diet, no UTIs. I belive it strengthens my immune system in a way that probiotics from any other source can (and believe me, I've eaten TONS of sugar free yogurt and taken probiotic pills.) Now I'm in a state where I can't buy raw milk (crazy, isn't it? You can smoke cigarettes and eat fast food all day long but real, nutritious milk is ILLEGAL) so, I just buy raw milk CHEESE and eat a piece every day.

Only once, thank goodness. Hurt like hell, and I was so embarrassed when I went to the doc to get medicine for it, because my doctor is REALLY attractive. It's slightly awkward saying "It burns when I pee" to a hot guy with a PhD.

I've only had one so far. I don't think my partner had washed his hands before fingering me, ugh. Hurt like a bitch for about a week and a half - now I'm much more careful.

I've had four or five. After the first two, my doc prescribed me pills to take as needed as soon as I felt one starting. But after those four or five al in one year, I havent had problems since.

I've had 3 or 4 ever. For a couple years I was getting them about once a year, but I haven't had one at all recently thank FSM. Ugh -.-

I've never had one, and I hope I never do!

unfortunally, ever since i was a baby, i have been very prone to getting ANY kind of infection, yeast and UTI easily, so I get them at least a couple times a year.
which leads me to be VERY clean around there, and it normally leads me to taking extra time to make sure my toys are cleaned along with my husband.

Very rarely. I'm far more prone to yeast infections. The only time I've ever gotten a UTI was when a partner forgot to wash their hands before touching me.

I just got my first UTI while I was on vacation in another country a few months back...

I've never had one.

They are evil, evil, evil. Since I started making sure I pee after sex, I don't get them as often but I found that certain men/types of sex give me them more than others. Boring, regular type sex doesn't give me any, but rough sex does...

If I even THINK one may be coming on with symptoms (like frequent urination or urgency), I take cranberry supplements. They do *wonders* for me if I catch it before it becomes greatly infected.

I'd had it 3 times so far. I haven't had one for the last 2 years. I am getting a lot better at preventing it Drink a lot of water, pee right after sex kind of things.

I get them so bad that I have to be hospitalized. If I catch them when I can tell they are coming, I call the doctor for medicine AND start on water and cranberry juice.
05/15/2012
I got them as a kid from dehydration, and haven't had one since.
05/15/2012
I get them all the time. I had my first one when I was three years old. I remember screaming in the bathroom.
They got bad around the time I became sexually active. I had to have surgery on the urinary tract when I was in college. I then went years without any UTIs except for when I was pregnant. Now, I'm getting them again. I was in the ER about two weeks ago, with bleeding and pain on urination. I also had kidney involvement, and I'm still on Cipro, which makes me feel like crap.
I'm really scared I'll have to have surgery again. It was a bitch. Worse than my C Sections or any of the uterine surgery I've had. I DO NOT want to have this urinary surgery again, so I'm putting off going to a Uro-gynecologist. I do all the 'right' things, I take acidophilus, I take cranberry supplements, I pee before and after sex, I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I've always had shitty health. Some things never change.
