Engaging topic analysis of Anal douche:
What anal douche do you suggest?
So I'm still new to anal play but totally down for it. I have a pretty good base knowledge of anal play and the basic beginners stuff but I can't find
Shower enema vs. bottled enema
I've found that the nice jet from the shower hose can clean me out a lot faster and a lot better than a bottle or gravity treatment. Does anyone have.
Enemas at home without a kit?
So Im wanting to clean myself out before anal. However, is there a way to do it at home without actually purchasing a kit?

No! No! No! I would absolutely not ever douche. It's bad for you and honestly I don't understand why so many people are convinced that cooters are such a dirty thing? They are not dirty at all. A healthy cooter is clean and does not require anything besides decent hygeine habits to keep it up. Douche can cause extra bacteria, infections, etc. Ugh! They're supposed to "clean" but they really do the opposite. Soap and water should always do the trick and if soap and water can't keep it clean then a dr. should be seen or you should take some extra time to educate yourself on your own body and what it needs. Simply keeping yourself at a somewhat decent health is enough to keep your crotch clean with no need of ever douching. I hate that so many women feel that they have to do it. A lot of women still believe that the cooter is too nasty of a thing to even touch (even their own) or explore! I'm glad to see the poll results! Most women I know are major douchers! They think I'M nasty because I don't douche. God made our cooters smart enough to clean themselves pretty well. Everybody's contains acid which helps fend off bad bacteria, but keep the good bacteria. That acid also helps in keeping away bacteria, infections all on it's own!

I've never douched vaginally because the vagina is a self cleaning organ and douching messes with that process. But I have douched anally before.

I did it a few times when I was younger. I had Bacterial Vaginosis, and the doctor wanted me to douche with vinegar once a week for a few weeks, for one reason because the medication I was on was based with petroleum. He thought the light douching would help keep my vaginal flora in check with this awful medicine I had to use for over a month. (I can't remember the name, but it was bright orange and stained everything!) Aside from that, and trying it once as a teen and getting a raging infection, I have never done it.
Vaginae are self cleaning. A bath or shower is all they need.

Never have, never will. I explain it like this. The vagina is its' own healthy ecosystem and it doesn't need any thing but regular washes with mild soap to be healthy. To douche would be like introducing a wild bulldozer into the rainforest: it would create chaos and cause more problems than it's worth. Kendra really hit the nail on the head!

I too have never douched vaginally but do anally, if I feel it is necessary, for anal sex.
I always believed that vaginal douching was not appropriate.

I get yeast infections easily enough without doing anything to screw with my vag's ecosystem.

My wife has never douched - or used an enema. As all have said, natural is best unless there is some specific medical reason to do something different.
05/23/2011
I've never done it, I wouldn't want to risk an infection.
05/23/2011
I occasionally douche with just water, makes everything much cleaner and as far as I can tell, nothing bad is happening.

As someone who worked in retail for a while, it's very common to find women buying yeast infection medication and douche kits in the same transaction. It took all the will-power I had to not cry out "What are you doing??? Do you not see the cause and effect right there on the counter???"
As many have said already, the vagina is a self-cleaning orifice. (Would you douche your urethra? Hell no!) There are "good" bacteria in the mucosal membrane that maintains the pH balance and healthy environment. By douching, you risk killing off good bacteria that would otherwise protect you from infection and at the same time it forces foreign bacteria up further into the vaginal canal, possibly even into the uterus, causing infections or worse! And since most women douche for smell reasons, it's interesting to note that infections cause more terrible odor than what you started with!!!
Also worth knowing is that you should never, ever, ever use soap inside your vagina. You can wash the labia and external vulva that way but don't insert it. It's no better than douching. Just don't. Also, don't force water up into it either. Yeah, same thing. Just washing the outside well, let it dry, change your underwear, don't wear pads or tampons too long, and see a doctor when necessary. Seriously.

For guys at least some like the "filling" experience but when I tried it, the feeling is rather unsettling and too full. Also, definitely not worth the risk of infection and better to stick with condoms during anal for cleanliness.
05/24/2011
For the most part I've heard that douching does much more harm than good. I'd rather not risk it.
05/24/2011
Tried it a couple of times many years ago. Hated the whole thing. And I am with all the ladies who are saying that the vagina doesn't need it when it is healthy.
05/25/2011
Never, never, never! As everyone else has said it causes more problems.
05/25/2011
No way, no how. As most people have pointed out, the vagina is self-cleaning and douches can upset the balance and actually flush out good bacteria that protects.
05/25/2011
Never! I've been always told by doctors and my mom to never do it. So i've never tried it. I know that it can effect the natural bacteria of the vagina so i just dont mess with it. Also like Kristi above me said it's self-cleaning so no need for it.

06/23/2011
it's not good for your vag, so no. i'm on the pill so it's not absolutely necessary.
06/26/2011
No and never plan to. I did consider doing it years and years ago, but read too many warnings about disrupting the natural vaginal balance which can result in horrid infections. Besides, it's not needed.
