Do You Douche?
06/26/2011
No way. It can cause a lot of problems if you are sensitive or do it too much.
06/27/2011
Anal is fine but you shouldn't douche vaginally.
06/27/2011
I've never have and never will. Vaginas are self-cleaning and in general I've heard of too many douching horror stories.
06/27/2011
I do once a month or every other month. I don't use anything scented--just vinegar. Probably not the healthiest thing to do, but it feels so good for three-four days afterward.
06/27/2011
I'm clean down there and don't need to screw up with the happy balance its in..
06/28/2011
Rinse with just water. By which I mean running water in the shower, not a douche.
06/28/2011
Have tried it but don't now

All those old douche commercials constantly mentioned PH levels, well your PH levels are where they are supposed to be. Douching screws those levels up. Just like someone who always eats antiacids and complains that they have stomac problems. A huge chunk of those problems are caused by the antiacids changing the PH in your stomac. If you absolutly feel you have to hose yourself out, just use straight warm mater. Then at least the only problem you're going to have is a dry cooch due to you rinsing away your natural lubricant.

I've been tempted, because even though I shower daily I have a light smell down there-not horrible at all, it's kind of spicy and slightly sour-but I know it would just mess up the bacterial balance so I don't do it.
08/07/2011
Seeing as the vagina is self cleaning, I wouldn't and don't ever plan on it.
08/09/2011
Never have, and never would douche my vagina. I've heard its bad, but have considered douching my bum for anal sex.

RePhresh worked for me but it was suggested by my doctor and he told me when, and why to use it. I have a problem with bacterial vaginosis and that can take years to rebuild the flora properly after a really bad overgrowth. We are slowly helping my body return to self cleaning, it's been a nightmare but the UTI and all was MUCH worse. Having my last child wrecked havok on my body but it's almost totally recovered though it'll take a few more years to be 100%.

Douching is SO unnecessary and if you stink you really should seek a second medical opinion...don't be an idiot like me and wait!

I never have. Oh wait, I did a treatment once when I had a yeast infection. Does that count? Otherwise I never would...

I have a light smell too, but I really like it and assume it's just what my body smells like since I'm all healthy. No complaints from anyone else either. As far as I know everyone has at least some natural scent - I've never been with an odorless woman and would be freaked out if I ever found one!

As long as you're healthy, I'd say don't worry about it (maybe even enjoy it, as part of your sexy womanly self). And if your scent ever does seem "off", it's a better idea to be checked out by your gyno before you do anything else.
Okay, that's my PSA for today.
12/22/2011
Nope, don't think I ever needed it
12/22/2011
Nope, never. The closest I've come was taking a bath with a few drops of tea tree oil in it, because I noticed that my skin was looking a little raw and I had some swelling around ingrown hairs on my vulva... but that was for outer cleansing. I did not try to get it up inside myself.
12/22/2011
I have because of a medicine I was on the doctor told me to even tho I still did not do it as prescribed. I've been told it is bad there is suppose to be certain level of bactria in there.
12/22/2011
never tried it

Never would.
12/23/2011
No way. Not good for you. What is weird is that Lysol had quite a racket going on in the old days..making douches. link
12/24/2011
Nope, I've heard it's unhealthy and have also never really seen the point. I wash regularly, but don't force anything inside.
12/24/2011
I've never seen the point of doucheing

Same here. Douching anally can be problematic, too, if done too often, though.

I've never douched vaginally because the vagina is a self cleaning organ and douching messes with that process. But I have douched anally before.

i have never tried it, and i do not really have a need/want to do it. the vagina is a self cleaning orifice, maintains its own natural pH balance most of the time lol

I never have & never will.
02/05/2012
No. I just wash myself in the shower to keep everything clean. Douches just mess up your natural chemistry! No good.
