I have in the past and it wasn't terrible, but I know that it's not good to use as a regimen so not unless there is a problem, I typically won't

Yes, but only under the advice of my gynecologist. It was for when I was getting the initial feelings of a yeast infection, but hadn't quite gotten it yet. The douche seemed to quell it before it became a problem.

I have a few times for infections, but they've never CAUSED infections. Apple cider vinegar is a life saver

Never! Too delicate an ecosystem.

I do not douche. Never have, never will.

I used to douche with plain water a few times during every period, but that's going to stop now that I'm using a menstrual cup. It was mainly an effort to maybe use a few less pads (with marginal success, at best), though I've been aware for a while that douching is bad for you and that a healthy vagina is self-cleaning. Thankfully nothing bad ever came of it.

No! No! No! I would absolutely not ever douche. It's bad for you and honestly I don't understand why so many people are convinced that cooters are such a dirty thing? They are not dirty at all. A healthy cooter is clean and does not require anything besides decent hygeine habits to keep it up. Douche can cause extra bacteria, infections, etc. Ugh! They're supposed to "clean" but they really do the opposite. Soap and water should always do the trick and if soap and water can't keep it clean then a dr. should be seen or you should take some extra time to educate yourself on your own body and what it needs. Simply keeping yourself at a somewhat decent health is enough to keep your crotch clean with no need of ever douching. I hate that so many women feel that they have to do it. A lot of women still believe that the cooter is too nasty of a thing to even touch (even their own) or explore! I'm glad to see the poll results! Most women I know are major douchers! They think I'M nasty because I don't douche. God made our cooters smart enough to clean themselves pretty well. Everybody's contains acid which helps fend off bad bacteria, but keep the good bacteria. That acid also helps in keeping away bacteria, infections all on it's own!

Never have, and I probably never will unless directed to do so by a doctor.

I will after my monthly. I never had a problem with it.

You said it right! There are too many things that could come from it that I will never try it. My vagina is too important to me for it be all itchy or burning or messed up!

When women douche the disturb the natural pH of their bodies. I recommend to all my patient's not to douche as it is the number one cause for bacterial vaginosis. Our vagina's are natural cleaning machines and they aren't meant to smell like roses.

I have taken an entire psychology of sex class at college. Really 3 credit hours and its like the most in depth sex ed you could ever get. Douching is bad, scented things are bad, basically anything to try to make it "cleaner" is BAD.
May I suggest Dove Unscented Sensitive soap for your lady bits? Also get your man to use the same so none of his scented soap residue transfers to your precious organs. And never on the inside of your body, just on the outside areas!
