The first birth control pills I used made me have mood swings so I talked to my doctor and we switched to another pill. I love this one and I've never had any pregnancy scares with it. I'm very religious with taking them at the same time every day and I make sure not to do certain activities while I know I'm at a higher risk for getting pregnant (the first week taking the pill again after having a period).
Whats your experience on birth control?

Got the cool medical insert so no worries for the next 3 years.

I've had it work, I've gotten pregnant, and I've had preggo scares all with birth control.

Just got an IUD literally, a couple hours ago, so I hope that goes well. Anyone else with one of these dealies have the worst freaking pain ever getting it placed? I'm chilling in bed now... =/

Was on Depo and had a scare, but it turned out to just be my body reacting to other things.

Yeah, I have mirena and the insertion hurt like hell, then I had to drive myself back home, 45 minutes away, before crawling into bed. Don't worry, it doesn't last all that long, or at least it didn't for me.

I had a couple scares when I was on the pill, but no pregnancies. No scares yet with mirena either.

I love my depo shot! No scares because if I go a week past my due for shot date I must get tested!

I can't take depo or the bc pills, so I've generally had my partner wear a condom. Aside from a few jerks who didn't want to, but finally did, I've never had a problem or scare.
When I offer to put the condom on my partner there's usually no objection at all.

I've never gotten pregnant on birth control, but I've heard stories of people either getting pregnant, or have had a scare. I don't think that's always the BC fault, I think most of them are because the person isn't on it like they should be.
