No, I have never had an STD. I know a family member caught 1 twice. Once she got it from her partner from him cheating and then the second time was a role reversal.

Lived through the 60's and didn't get anything...thankfully. Worst thing we worried about back then was getting pregnant...but we WERE really at more risk for things then we knew.

There you go....if condoms are only 70% effective against the Pappiloma Virus, why would they be any more protective against the HIV virus, which is SMALLER? That is scary.

I have had CIN2/3 though, and while they couldn't pin down exactly what strand it was, I guess it's HPV. Considering that 80% of women in America get it in their lives, I don't see it as an STD really. Call me stupid, but condoms are only 70% affective against it and most of t he cases heal on their own over time. less

Yes, but those can be passed with kissing or even sharing a drink from a bottle or glass from someone with the virus.

Freaking out about ANY disease or problem does no good. However, folks without a disease are far better off preventing it, and those with one should be careful not to spread it and to treat themselves with care.

Also, they only really check for 4 strains of HPV during a woman's yearly pap smear... If they test for HPV at all. Some places don't unless there is abnormal cell growth already. And there are many more strains than just those 4.. -shrug- just an added bit of info less

Nope, and don't play on getting one.
07/14/2011
No I have not. Which is lucky because I definitely had some questionable encounters when I was younger.
07/14/2011
I haven't thank God. I've always been very careful, but of course things can happen so I always get tested. I've been in a monogamous rel. for 5 yrs now so we're pretty safe, but still it's alway scary! I freak out at even the slightest ingrown hair! Lol.

I always had safe sex when I had sex in high school, I used a condom every singe time and yet I managed to get TWO in high school.

Not yet, and I hope to keep it that way.

Nobody "looks" like they have STIs. I periodically get into lecture-mode with my friends who tell me "oh, we didn't use a condom, but that's ok, he looked fine." No no no.

I'm not sure if it actually counts as a STD cause I'm rather leaning towards it being s kin condition.

But when I was younger, a girl I was going out with gave me scabies.
It stared out around my junk, then kind of spread. I attempted to tell my parents I had it, outright saying I had scabies a few time.
It's interesting how parental denial can be so unreasonably incontrovertible.
I had to live with scabies slowly spreading over my entire body for about 3 months before I was taken to a doctor.
It sucked.
