Male birth control? Yes or no?

Bravo!!! I completely agree with you. I do not want children either and it is really frustrating to be told that I will change my mind. How would they like to be told that they will change their mind about their partner, career choices, religious or spiritual beliefs, etc. Gynecologists or urologists should not be making the choices for other woman or men whether or not they want children, it is not their place. Its nice when I hear other woman breaking from the herd mentality that they should be having children.

I would not take male birth control myself only because Id prefer to just get a vasectomy. It should definitely be made available to the male population thought.

My man says if there were a safe male birth control option available, he'd take it. He doesn't see why it should be just the woman's concern, or burden, to worry about birth control. For us though, even if there were male birth control available, I'd stay on the pill because my periods are hellish without it. But it wouldn't hurt to be double protected from pregnancies!

I dont want to have surgery to stop children, i want a goddamn on/off switch and a (proven) pill is just the ticket for me.

I have health issues coming out my ears. If there was a pill my partner could take, we'd be all over it.

UPDATE!

turns out that india is at the final phase of its magic birth control pill, sadly though they are not finding a lot of test subjects.

My partner and I have discussed this option (should it ever present itself) since I can't take 'the pill' due to the migraines I get from it (tried almost every brand out there and always ends in migraines). He said it's an option he'd consider, and likely use, if there were enough studies done to fully cover the list of negative side effects - and they weren't too extreme. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Ok... I am totally in support of this however, as the girl with the pussy and as such the one who would get knocked up... I would still use my own. Next... and no offense guys but I heard "Oh I will just put the tip in" and "I promise I wont cum inside you" back when I was young, dumb and wound up with a pussy full of cum to believe a guy who says "oh yes I took my pill. Just let me cum inside, its totally safe!" Lol.

I don't see why men wouldn't be embracing this opportunity: if you have a BC method that keeps you from making/secreting semen, thus cutting the risk of pregnancy, then you wouldn't have to rely on the women to tell if they're on BC or not. You could have sex with whomever and not have to worry about her "oh yeah, I'm on the pill" comment that Saturday night possibly being a lie a few weeks later when she calls to say she's pregnant. I feel like a male birth control would allow men to take all elements of sexual engagement into their own hands.

For personal reasons, both my boyfriend and I are for a male form of BC because I can't take any form of hormones (causes seizures). Our options right now are IUD, condoms, and/or sterilization (tubal ligation and vasectomy), for the most part.

I can't wait for this to come out. With both partners on birth control there would basically be no chance of getting pregnant and I wouldn't have to use condoms as back up birth control. I can't wait for this to come out on the market.

If there was a safe male birth control that was effective, I'd use it happily

Even female birth control has weird side effects, I don't think its really safe in any form.

UPDATE!

turns out zapping your huevos with ultrasound will also (potentially) stop sperm production.

I'd love more birth control options, for me or my male partner.

I think this would be an incredible option. I like to use multiple options of birth control to have a back up and so I love the fact that both my partner and I could be on it for worry free sex. I think it would be an amazing option and I'm shocked it took this long for us to get it.
