Do you find it easier to write more about toys you enjoy vs ones you don't?

I couldn't vote because there wasn't an other option! LOL I enjoy writing both negative and positive reviews, but what I HATE is writing a negative review that I THOUGHT would be positive. I struggle immensely with those and tend to put them off for months and months.

It's easiest if I feel really strongly one way or another.

There are merits and ways that both are easy. I find with products I don't like I have a lot of things I want to say about the product. Sometimes with products we love it's tough to remain somewhat neutral, for fear of sounding like a shill for the product.

I find it easier to write about toys I like. When I dont like a toy or clothing I dont really know how to say what I feel without being rude and vulgar.

I've found that with toys I don't like, it's very easy to pin down exactly what I don't like about them, and this makes them easier to review objectively. It takes a little more thought and effort to figure out what about a toy that I like is done well, and what is just right for my preferences. Of course there are some cases that it's clearer, but it's usually a little more challenging.

the hardest for me are the toys that are just so-so. If I love it or hate it it's easy to write

It's not a matter of how much I liked it. More of the item itself and how much you can really write about it and how familiar I am with it.

I always find something I REALLY like about something (toy, game, etc) and something I don't like so it's the best of both worlds.

It doesn't matter to me. I will be just an thorough and honest either way. The personal and experience sections are what get tricky for me. If I love a toy or hate it these sections are filled but if its an okay toy I am at a loss.

even when I don't like an item, I still write an unbiased review & then put my 2 cents worth in w/o disparaging the product.

I haven't been doing this long but I enjoy writing reviews on items I enjoyed, I don't think I'll have a product giving negative reviews though ;D

I find it easier to write about toys I like. Because with these, I just have to talk about all the things I like about it, which is fun and not hard to do if I love the toy.

With toys I don't like, I have to talk about why I didn't like it and why it didn't work for me (which may be for reasons that don't apply to most people, since toys work differently for everyone). So it is harder to know as I'm writing it if the details that affected my opinion will be as helpful to others.

I find it easiest to write about toys that I have a lot to say about. Toys that were either fabulous, or terrible. When I review a toy that was pretty mediocre, I find it's a little bit more difficult to review it properly.

It's easier for me to write about things I dislike. I feel like a lot of the time with things I do like, I'm too caught up in the euphoria from that to get a really good review going.

The hardest ones are for those that Rich enjoys because he's like "I like it. It works good." Welllll why does it work good!? I can't know what a Fleshlight feels like on my sensitive places, bud!

It's easier to write for me about things I love and want to advertise. I imagine it would be easy to write about things I hate and want to warn people about, but I haven't found anything that I'm that negative about yet.

I am a review blogger and I always find it easier to write about something I like. Part of the reason is I know someone else would enjoy something I might not like. When reviewing the book, I know the author will read it and it makes me more hesitant to really slam the book no matter how bad it is. I reviewed a book I pretty much hated recently. It would have worked much better if the editor had done a decent job, but I think the editor was on vacation that day. It was probably my longest, hardest review to write. I wanted to back up every reason I disliked the book. (There were a lot!) I wanted to give examples of poor grammar and wanted to choose the more blatant offenses instead of just giving examples that were incorrect but still not as bad as others.

I'd rather say "I like this item and here is why" because when I review anything I don't like I feel like I have to give a defense of my opinion.

I agree with Red Vinyl Kitty, it can be more difficult to make a review "stand out" when all you have are good things to say about it. But I'd also still prefer to love a toy than dislike it. I think its easiest to write reviews about toys you like but you could also improve on.
