I prefer writing about toys I like
Do you find it easier to write more about toys you enjoy vs ones you don't?

I haven't written very many reviews, but I've found it a little easier to write about toys I don't like. I can usually pin point exactly why I don't like something, and then explain fairly concisely. When I like something (or even really love it) I find it hard to not just gush about how great it is. lol

I've only written two reviews on products I didn't like, and in both cases, I found it difficult. But the reason I found it difficult was because, honestly, I could have gone on for DAYS about how much I disliked them, so it was really hard to rein myself in.
I find it especially difficult because, even though *I* don't like the product, that doesn't necessarily mean that others won't. But at the same time, in terms of the two negative reviews I've written, I really didn't think that the products would be useful to anyone -- and because they're both products that are touted as informational, I felt an extra push to make sure that people understood just how sub-par the products were.

I haven't written a review on a product I didn't like, but um, I do like ranting about things I hated! I'm pretty sure I would enjoy writing a review about a product that didn't work for me just as much as something that did work for me, on that note... I would enjoy going into detail why, based on my personal preferences, it didn't work for me (and so people with those preferences would be advised to stay away) and what sort of people might enjoy it.
So yeah.
I just love reviewing, what can I say!

Haha, I enjoy writing about toys I dislike better. Maybe I am a natural born complainer =) hahaha

I find it easiest to write reviews on toys I love, because then I just get to write about all the wonderful reasons why someone else would love it too! However, it can be tricker to be balanced in those reviews. It can also be easy to write a lot on toys you hate (unless I struggle to write the good things), but I think the difficulty is writing about toys I just feel "ehh" or ambivalent (love some things, hate some things) about. That's when I really struggle.

I find it easier with toys I like, because if it does what it's supposed to, then I wonder what else it might do, which leads me to get creative with it's uses, and I often end up with a review detailing all I've learned. Also, if I like it, I have to try to find bad points, so I get more in depth with my testing. Where-as if I hate it, I don't want to play with it more than I have to, so my reviews are a little shorter and a little less useful.

I find it much easier to write about toys that I do like. I generally have more to write, and I don't find it has hard to come up with things to say.

Generally, I find it much easier to write about items that I enjoy. With the ones that I dislike, I try to be very objective as I hate sounding negative, but it's tough.

It's pretty easy to write about either. Just have to make the time to do it.

I find it pretty easy to write for both. Whether I like or hate an item doesn't really affect my writing abilities for that item's review.

Toys I love and toys I hate are the easiest ones to write about; it's the toys which are just O.K. that I struggle with, as they don't inspire me.
02/25/2012
The items I have the hardest time writing about are the ones that aren't that great or that terrible. If I love or hate the item, it gives me somewhere to start writing from.

It is a little easier to gush about a toy I love, but either way I feel like I can do pretty well! I mean, if I didn't like it then I just have to detail just WHY I didn't like it- same as a positive review!

It is easiest for me to write about toys I dont like because I get into a very ranty mood.
What I find hard are toys that are just neutral or boring. What do I write about then???

It's not that it's harder to write about ones I don't like, but that I don't like being negative, so it takes me longer to get around to it because I feel bad. >.>

I find it easier to gush about things I like.

I have a lot more fun writing about toys I enjoy, but it's easier to point out flaws than good things imo

I think it's easier to wtite about things I didn't particularly care for. They feel like they get written faster, too.

I find it easier to write an articulate review for items I've enjoyed using. Typically, the toys I dislike get a few week trial period and are retired shortly thereafter if I'm not able to find a more pleasing means of using them. I use toys that I enjoy much more frequently and can therefore speak most knowledgeably about those. I prefer to be very familiar with the function, specifications, and pros/cons of a toy before I attempt writing.

It's easier to write about a toy I liked, because there is more to say. If I don't like it, I just don't.

i think it is faster to write about toys i dont like but im not sure i would really say easier...i get more excited when talking about toys i do like so there is so much going on in my head its harder to word it all together

I think its much easier to write on a toy that I loved, rather than one I didnt like at all. I think it's the enthusium level to be honest
05/27/2012
easier to write reviews for products i own.
