I rate based on quality of information, whether written or in video format.
Do you automatically give 5 stars to reviews with videos?
11/09/2012
I rate fairly taking all content into consideration.

I think a well written review could be more useful than a poorly done video, so no just because a review has a video I don't give it a great rating.
12/12/2012
No, i dont. Actually, i noticed couple of reviewers, with a lot of "adult" type of videos that disturb even me - person who has no shame and very open minded. They are just badly made and kind of trashy, and that is what upsetting me
12/14/2012
nope
12/15/2012
videos can help, but I need more than just that
12/17/2012
It doesn't automatically mean they get 5 stars like pictures don't, but if it's well done and the review is decent then it would be rated that. If the review is dreadful then I'll rate it accordingly. But usually they're good.
12/17/2012
it depends. I am more likely to give a high rating to a video of any sort, but not always 5 if it doesn't have all the info in either the video or text that I'm looking for.
Luckily most people who upload videos are thorough and I generally do give a lot of 5s!

No. If they do a great job at showing the toy's size and even turn it on and that stuff, I will give them extremely useful but their written review has to be awesome too since I don't always watch videos.

I don't automatically rate 5. But I find that those with videos just happen to be really high in quality already.

No because some of the videos that I have seen doesnt have all the information that it should, or its not in depth the way that it needs to be. someone could write a review that is great versus doing a video which just may be alright

I definitely think I add points for effort, but it's not a guarantee. I still think about the quality of the info given.
02/11/2013
Not usually.
02/11/2013
No I don't.
02/11/2013
Of course not! The video could be completely useless. If the video is wonderful.. and so is the review, then yes, i'll give them 5 stars.
02/11/2013
Of course not. But, I do watch a lot of the videos because I like to see the the action of the vibrator or the relative size. I have learned who does quality videos & I usually know who to avoid.
02/11/2013
No. If I do not think it is a good review (video or not) I will not give it 5 stars.
02/11/2013
No, I take all the factors in to consideration. While a well-done video that shows off some of the features of a toy and shows its true size is a big plus, I've also seen other videos that don't really enlighten potential buyers about the toy itself.
02/16/2013
Nope, I do not.
02/16/2013
I do give an extra star or 1/2 star though for the vid.
02/19/2013
Definitely not, whether they put in effort or not, it doesn't guarantee a good useful review! I've seen some real... interesting videos before... especially the ones where someone just waves the toy around without showing off the features then has 2 minutes of credits with bad music playing. If a video actually shows off the features, is well put together and I genuinely find it useful, I'll give it a good review :3 I rarely give reviews bad ratings unless I can tell someone was just doing it half-assed for the points.
02/19/2013
Just because it's a video doesn't mean it's any more helpful. I've seen videos that just don't give good information, including ones with NO talking, just background music. To me, that's a music video, not a review.
02/24/2013
It depends on the video and the review, so no.
03/21/2013
Definitely not. Some video reviews I think are totally ridiculous. I'm looking for how exactly you used the toy in the video, not an erotic commercial for the toy.
04/01/2013
I typically rate reviews with pics/video a bit higher but do not automatically rate them a 5.
04/02/2013
I vote based on how informative the review was. A video can add to that factor if it imparts more information.

Those are slideshows and they're more for promotion purposes rather than review purposes. My advice is to always check the title of the video -- if it says slideshow, commercial, sneak peek or adult, it's not a video review, just a video.

The video's aren't always useful and so are just wasting my time. But usually I will rate it a little higher if someone took the time to make a video.
04/04/2013
It does help, but a video doesn't make a review. I've watched a couple videos that I felt added nothing to the review, luckily the written review itself was awesome so I did vote 5 stars. So to answer, no but I feel like people that do video reviews tend to be the same folks that like to be really detailed and write great reviews.
04/10/2013
only if it's good, but they usually are.
