Nope I don't, it always depends on the review!
Do you automatically give 5 stars to reviews with videos?
03/16/2012
Not necessarily. I have seen a few completely useless videos.
03/17/2012
Depends on the info in the video.
03/17/2012
No but typically those reviews deserve it cuz they are usually very good
03/17/2012
No, they are separate I usually rate reviews with out watching the videos at all.
03/18/2012
if a review, answers all my questions about the product, I will give it 5 stars.
03/18/2012
I rate by personal opinion.

No, that isn't fair to do that.

Absolutely not. Sometimes a video review just does not work for me the same way a review might not work for me. I do not rate them separately or ignore them because they are often a part of the review that someone put work into regardless of whether or not I liked it. I take it into account when I make me vote and comment. If they want my honest feedback, reviewers are always welcome to message me as I would too if I wanted extra feedback.
03/20/2012
Nope. I rate it according to how useful I personally found the review.
03/20/2012
I don't rate looking at videos. I rate just the review. If the video is swell and informative, I'll leave a note in the comment section.

For me it does not matter if they have a video or not. If a review is well written and tells me most everything I would need to know about a toy, then it gets rated well. If I after I read the review, I still know nothing more than what I could have figured out myself by reading the product information, well... then it gets a less than useful rating.
03/25/2012
No, I rate based on how informative I think the reviews are.

I can't give her a bad vote on her written review so I just fume. less

I try to rate reviews based on overall information. A great video might pull my rating up, but if paired with less than great review it will probably not help.
03/27/2012
Like everyone else has already said I vote on the quality of both the review and video.
03/27/2012
No, not automatically. I look at the whole review. But adding a video is a bit of a step up to me, especially if they already have a great review.
03/27/2012
In general, posting a video shows you dedicated more time to the review. I am more favorable, but the highest vote is not absolute. Ever

You can have a great review, and a crappy video. Or, a great video and a crappy review. I usually prefer reading a review than watching a video, since I can skim. I don't tend to rate the two together.

No. When someone decides to and is gets permission to put a video on a review (and there is usually only ONE video allowed PER product, so you have to ask to do a video before anyone else) the reviewer gets an Eden Gift card, (between $25.00 and $50.00) plus gets on EdenTube, where the video may be rated on it's own.
I've seen crappy reviews with videos attached. I don't "automatically" give any review and EU, pictures, videos or whatever. I admit that pics often help reviews, but videos don't always.
Plus, only ONE review is going to be allowed to have a video attached to it, so any after that are not given permission to do the review, at least not and get credit for it.
In many ways, it's actually easier to make a video than to write a useful review.
Plus, we don't rate reviews with "stars." How "useful" the review was to the reader is used as a rating system. The "stars" are on the product page, for how much you like the item. less

How do you get a $50 gift card for video reviews?? i do a good bit of them and get $15 - beauty products and $25 - glass toys and vibes etc
04/27/2012
The same thing goes with the pictures in reviews, too.
04/27/2012
Depends on the content. If the video is useless and isn't worth watching there really is no point in rating EU unless the written review is actually EU.
04/27/2012
Not automatically, but it does seem like if you took the time to make a video, your review is generally more detailed and helpful anyway.
04/27/2012
Like with anything there are good videos and bad videos out there. A requirement of the video review program is that you do a written review as well so we know any time we see a less than stellar video floating around with no written review attached to it they should not have gotten a gift card for it.
04/27/2012
it really depends on the video if that was the case people could just do a video for every review

I almost feel like I am harder on video reviewers. They have the upper hand they actually get to SHOW OFF the toy, most suck at it though. And if a video has unprofessional or inappropriate to the review nudity those are points off in my book

no i rate it how i think i needs to be rated
07/05/2012
Heck no I don't. If the video and review are a hot mess, I refuse to give it five stars. It has to earn five stars, so I don't believe in just giving things positive feedback when they don't deserve it.
