I don't associate "come" with sex. I always prefer "cum" when talking about a sexual situation.
Which of these two terms do you prefer?
09/15/2011
Come is the most direct answer to the question, because it is the verb describing the process of orgasm. Cum is the noun for the fluid that is released by the body while it is coming.
So really I like both.

I get the Beavis and Butthead giggles every time I pass by local franchise convenience stores called "Kum & Go".

I've personally always preferred the word "cum" instead of "come" in this situation.

I like the word "cum" better. I usually only write or type it out when Im sending dirty text so why not go with the one that feels dirtier
09/16/2011
I don't really have a preference, "Cum" I guess, although I'll only use it for ejaculatory orgasms. I like "la petite mort", personally.
09/16/2011
I use cum.
And it seriously irritates me when people spell it come. No idea why.

I like to use "cum" to refer to ejaculate and "come" to refer to orgasm. That's just the way I tend to use those terms.

"I'm about to cum!" Bad
"I'm about to come!" Better
"He pulled out and sprayed his cum all over her ass while she was still coming down from her own intense orgasm." Awkward, but okay
"The feel of his hot spunk inside her pushed her over the edge and she cried out as she started coming again." Okay, but still awkward
Bah. We need more dirty words!
Personally, spunk is my favourite for ejaculate, but cum/come is always awkward.

i don´t know

I prefer the word "come." To me, "cum" sounds like slang. Then again, I only use come as verb.
I prefer using more clinical terms, though, like orgasm.

"Come" is a word I use in everyday life. "Cum" is a word I use in the bedromm. The only exception is if I was to say "Come to my bedroom and I
ll make you cum". Not that I say that...but..yeah.
Just seems right damnit

I don't mind seeing either word honestly, but come is not a word I would use to describe an orgasm. Cum to me is what comes from the body and come is what you want me to do in order for you to make me cum.

interesting post

I think of "cum" as the ejaculation result and "come" as the traditional verb.

I approach it kinda differently. I think 'cum' is more...male-oriented and 'come' is more female-oriented.
Don't ask me why I gender associate it. -laughs- Then on the other hand I find 'cum' to be more ...porn-y?
I don't know really how to explain it but girlfriend and I both use 'come' and that's pretty much all that matters to me~

I am so glad that's not just me. I hate the spelling "cum"—I think I just associate it with sleazy guys on the internet. "Come" is much better.
11/20/2011
There definitely needs to be a difference, come as in come hither and then cum
11/20/2011
I prefer cum. If I read the word "come" I would think someones just saying "come here" or something. lol.

There are a lot of great answers and opinions, but I liked this one for its accuracy technically speaking. BUT, I also likes 'Silverdrop' post above as well; we are in the sexual jungle here, are we not?

I prefer the less-ambiguous c-u-m

It kind of depends on what the situation for me - but if it's verbal, it doesn't quite matter, I think.

When I see the word come, I do not think of the word cum. However I do not like when a guy says I cummed it grosses me out..

After writing stories for a while, I've settled on cum when I'm describing the action in a non-sensitive way, in my porn stories. When I'm writing erotica, I tend to not use that word.

I prefer "cum" to "come" because the meaning of "cum" is obvious and using "come" may be confusing to some.

I always use come because I guess I don't like intentionally misspelling it. I mean, who am I helping by "dumbing it down" by using cum? Not many. On a site like EF, would I really be offending anyone if I spelled out come instead of making it cute and shorter? Nah. Personally, though, I prefer baby batter, lol.

I'm curious as to other people's thoughts on "cum" versus "come" as terms to describe achieving orgasm. At the end of the day it's all good, but what's your preference? less

I'm fine with either one (and have used both).

Cum because it just sounds dirtier and sexy

I associate "cum" with ejaculate, so it's a little icky.
