Free assignments: Do you push the limit?

i've made so far two or maybe three purchases at the 30% off for reviewing, because the item was above my price limit for my rank. the few things that i did find an interest in within the price limit for my rank for free, weren't available for review.
my interests vary from day to day and week to week, price is not always a factor - i mean what's the real difference between 30 and 60? as long as i am happy with what i've purchased i'm going to get multiple uses out of it and it's going to last me *years?*
however, i'm not about to pay 120 for some of the little outfits i've seen listed - for lingerie i am very very picky, plus i'm a 36h and there is nothing i have seen so far on this site for lingerie that will even come close to fitting me (which is not uncommon). c'est le vie!

I'm pretty new to the review program. So far, all of the items I've reviewed have been either previously owned, or purchased at the regular sale prices--I don't yet fully understand the buy-out program, so I haven't used it yet. I have requested a number of items for the free review program, even the same day they became available, but they always get cancelled, because too many others have requested them before me, apparently. My review limit is $40, so there really isn't a huge selection to choose from in the first place. I don't like to request anything under $30, because then I'm cutting into the even fewer choices available to the next level down. Do other reviewers higher up the chain consider this at all when requesting free review items?
