We both speak English, but sometimes he speaks gamer and sometimes I speak web design.
Do you and your partner speak the same language natively?

We both speak French together, but our second language is both English. We email and text each other in English - it's faster. And I also know intermediate Spanish.

Many Jamaicans speak Jamaican Patois, which is also a Creole. It's not broken English, it's its own language, gyal!

I've had two long term relationships with non native English speakers. As I'd previously said, my deceased spouse spoke Spanish originally but learned both English and German (which we used as our common language).
My GF of three years from college was from Taiwan and spoke Mandarin as well as Taiwanese a variant of Min Nan. Her and I were in a "fine dining" Chinese restaurant in the Midwest and she wanted something specific that was not on the menu. The waiter did not understand my GF's spoken Chinese so he asked her to write it down. I was kind of intrigued that the written language was understandable when the spoken language was not. A function of non-phonetic based writing I guess. In any case the waiter read what it was she wanted and said (in English) "Oh we can't make that, we make Chinese food for Americans here."

Both English speakers, but She's English and I'm American. (There's definitely a difference between the two. ;D) Note: I didn't say 'British', that just erks me. xP

I also find it irritating when people confuse English with British! Britain refers to England, Wales, Scottland, the six north counties and a few small islands off the coasts. So when people say "that person is British" I'm like "oh, cool, but where are they from?"

both speak english, but we're from vastly different parts of the country. While there isn't much of an accent where either of us live, i've been told I have a slight one and she might as well.

I've only dted within my race, not because I have anything against other races, it just so happens that all my exes are Latinos. I wouldn't mind dating certain other races. It just hasn't happened.. Yet.
