I have, but my girl friend has never. I am thankful we are still together after i messed up big time. I broke her heart and had to gain back her trust, which we are still working on and I know it will always and forever be hard for her to trust me again, fully.

I have never cheated, not once, ever. Been married 3 times, and the first ended due to his cheating, the second one ended for an entirely different reason, and I am very, very happily married now. I had opportunity but I never did. So I guess not everyone does.....

Statistics seem to say yes, at least once, at least at some point in their lives.

Not everybody, but probably most. I tell my husband to just make sure he uses protection if he ever has the urge.

I think unhappy people are more likely to cheat but I don't think everyone cheats. The dynamics of what makes someone do something like that vary greatly and there is no way to lump it all together into a straight yes or no.

No, I don't think so. So long as people are open, honest, and communicate regularly, I think cheating can be avoided. As others pointed out, I think that is also depends on the varying definitions of cheating, as well.

Not everyone cheats. I value a relationship as one of the most important things in life. Society keeps devaluing relationships, but a few of us still hold them as important.

A person in love will never cheat, so if they do, love isn't there. If something happened to my wife, i'm sure in my heart that there wouldn't be someone to replace her. Someone who cheats, can't say that even with thier partner with them now.

thats so true, my girlfriend believes that even just having feelings for another person is cheating but the way i see it is i love her ore and i dont even do anything with the other person, she is just a cool person who, in another life things could have worked out.

I can actually say that I have never cheated once, my entire life. Of course, I am only 20. But I'm engaged to be married in July. Never cheated on my babe the entire 5 1/2 years we dated, and never even contemplated.

Even back in high school days I refrained from cheating. I believe there was a night with an ex where I was so upset that I thought about cheating on him to hurt him, but I felt too bad. Cheating to me is just the most horrible thing someone can do.

This is highly open to interpretation. 99.9% of the time, I am faithful. In the past, I've cheated and been cheated on. It was only when my relationship was basically over. I don't think I would do it again, but this lumps me into the cheaters category.

And it depends on how you define cheating. It is just sex? Kissing? Touching? Emotional attachment? Flirting?

I think a lot of people do cheat, most will only admit to it when caught, and some of them will still deny it at that point. Also, there is cheating which can be defined by the individual. If I text other boys am I cheating? Some may say yes, some may say no.. everyone has their standard/limit/expecta tions.

We have been married 24 years, and together 25. At least for those years we have been 100% faithful. I do not think that everyone cheats.

I would say yes, but I suppose it depends how you define "cheating" I think most people in monogamous relationships will at one point have an emotional affair (Which I would consider cheating) even if they never have one physically.
