Would you vote for a candidate who supports outlawing hormonal birth control?

I'm not a single issue voter, and yes, this election will be mostly determined by economic policy issues. But could you vote for someone who supports (or claims to support) "personhood" laws that would make hormonal birth control illegal?
nope

I can't imagine why anyone would make this career move in the first place, especially since some people are prescribed hormonal birth control by their doctor or psychologist for reasons other than baby prevention. That being said, if for some reason someone ran with the intent to outlaw hormonal birth control, I would not vote for them no matter what their policies in other areas were. I would never vote for someone because of a single issue, but there are single things that could easily stop me from voting for them.

honestly i think you could tell a lot about the rest of their policies and how little they care for people's well being by their stance on this... support of personhood laws is a huge red flag for me

No way. That'd be scary. Honestly, I probably wouldn't even vote for someone who wanted to outlaw abortions.

I would not support a candidate like this.

Absolutely not. That is a topic that is extremely important to me, it's not something I would budge on.

Birth control is a personal choice. Everyone else needs to stay out of it besides the person making the choice. That includes the government, the Pope, etc. They aren't the ones faced with raising a child. Or not.

No. Absolutely not. None of the claims I've listened to have made sense.

Oh hell naw! If that bastard wants to take away my mood stabilizer (the birth control is only an additional benefit for me; I started birth control because it helps stabilize my moods and makes my ADHD meds work better), he is going to have to do so over my dead body. Because I will jump on him and start biting him while foaming at the mouth in rage.

I'm assuming our candidate is male because I live in Mari-Land where no woman is crazy enough to even THINK of this. Does this post sound slightly demented? Well, it's because I can very easily see some candidate believing this and getting a large chunk of the vote. And that bothers the hell out of me. A LOT.
