you ever feel guilty after placing and EF order?

Contributor: loveshocks loveshocks
I only buy non-essential things if I can afford to pay for them, so I hardly ever feel guilty. I cover most of my EF orders with gift cards (mostly from writing for Eden Cafe) and Eden points and I use them with those holiday coupons to make things affordable for me. I don't buy things that I don't need if I can't afford them. I suppose if I were to start buying things without the necessary funds, I would feel awful. I would feel even more awful when the credit card company starts charging me interest, but I never let it get to that.

Guilty? Hell no. I want more. I just wish I had found out about Eden before just the last 6 months or so and knew about the community and all the great reviews here sooner. It makes it so much easier to find out which toys and items are good and which are crap. If anything it encourages you to buy and try even more toys.

I guess if I was wasting all my time and money here I might feel guilty but life is short... it's for living... not regretting.

I generally don't feel guilty. The money I spend on toys, others would go out and spend on nights out and partying. I have a young son so I don't get the chance to go out much and so my "party/fun" money gets spent on toys. And frankly... I would spend much more than a couple of hundred dollars a month on booze and nights out. So I should probably feel good that that's all I spend on toys. it's actually saving me money.

Nope. Before I make a purchase I spend several days—if not months—reading reviews and lusting over the products first. Even if money is tight it's never a regret after using them, unless they're complete duds.

Only feel guilty about spending the money. I justify it by only buying quality that will last and that I am sure my wife will love.

I've only ever had one thing I bought i would call a complete dud and thats the Speed Demon vibe, it was very cheaply made and had only three "teeth" on the back to catch and screw it shut, two on one side one on the other, remedial design as the tooth on the side with only one broke off as i was closeing it the first time, so no way to ever fix it and we never even got to use it once worst 25 bucks i've spent on toys yet, hopefully it will never happen like that again.

I only think about "should I have purchased that" after a big purchase.

I do a lot of research on the items I purchase to ensure it will be a good purchase. I may feel a little guilty afterwards but that quickly disappears when I open that brown box and start playing!

I do not feel guilty when I order a new toy. I do not buy toys on random. It takes me quite a while to decide if a toy is worthwhile before I order it. I'll use as many discount/coupons I can rack up and I actually feel quite good about it!

I think, "Should I have purchased that or should I maybe have gone with that instead?"

Then I say, "meh... next time!"

Yes, when I first found the site I splurged far too much! I'm a lot better now though, since I know about promotions, buyout reviews, points, etc, so my orders tend to cost me a lot less. Plus I own a lot more toys now, so the need for more is somewhat less urgent

to me it feels urgent because the toys I want the most are out of stock whenever I want to buy them

Bills and other necessary expenses (like food and gas) come first and everything else comes second. But I use so many points and gift cards and coupon codes that it usually takes the amount down to something much more reasonable. And I do plenty of research beforehand to make sure I really want the items so it's less likely I'll be disappointed.

I have been using gift cards and points so far to pay for my purchases through EF so I don't feel guilty.

I have always bought toys w/o any guilt. When money is tight, I just pass as I have others. I feel fortunate in that my b/f now frequently buys toys for me...I love it!

No, I don't feel guilty, because I usually stick to a budget (usually my points and GFs, with no more than a few dollars to make up the difference if needed.) There are things I'd like, but haven't bought due to cost (the Eleven. *sigh* and anything from Liberator.)

I do kind of go, "Oh, my points!" when I see them go from however to 0, but that's what they are for.

Yeah, it sucks. I have health issues, which prevent me from doing shift work, (which I could make money at) and there are NO other jobs. I've been looking for nearly a year, my home business is bankrupt, I have children to support, our house is underwater (meaning we owe more on it than it is supposedly worth) My Man (who works hard) hasn't had a raise in 5 years (it's the economy, he's a good worker.) I have one left in college, whom we probably will not be able to have a graduation party for, due to money, my youngest has Auspergers and Tourette's Syndrome, and despite her being a literal genius, her meds and doctor visits are expensive. We also have to worry about college for her in about 6 or 7 years. No, none of my kids got a fucking penny for college. They go on income, not debt or what owe. We didn't get a single penny of "financial aid" for either of our older kids to go to college. They are staring their lives tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

My migraines and fibromyalgia costs us about $1,000 a month minimum and all our credit cards are maxed out. (I also have IBS, I treat it with over the counter meds, because I can't afford a third specialist.)

It has NEVER been this bad EVER. Not even when we first got married and My Man was barely making anything, at least there were jobs then.

It sucks. I can only hope it gets better. We went from being healthy and somewhat upper middle class to my being virtually disabled and beyond broke. I have children to worry about, and My Man, not just myself. It sucks.

So, sex is our recreation. I don't feel bad about using my points and gift cards. Now, if Eden would only start carrying groceries (had to make my little one's lunch on biscuits I made for dinner last night, as we had no bread or crackers in the house) I'd be set. A little.

Nothing is killing me more now than realizing I can't afford a nice gift or a party for my middle child's college graduation. It's killing me.

Unless you're single and childless and have a good job, or independently wealthy, we are ALL suffering, if we're middle class.

Bitch session over.

I only feel guilty when I make certain purchase sometimes because I know I should be saving my money. I keep things on my wishlist, but then I see something and decide I absolutely need it asap. Or often I will see a certain review on a product that I've had my eye on and it convinces me that what it is, it's just as great as I'd hoped.

As long as my bills are paid, there is a roof over my head, and food in my stomach, I don't feel the slightest bit of remorse.

I sometimes feel guilty when I get my girl something and not tell her about it. I like surprises. The guilt comes into it because I won't let her get me something in return, and this makes her sad. I don't like gifts.
