OCEAN! I love the ocean I could play in the water for hours! And I live by the sea!

I'm from The Great Lakes Sate, so I'm going to have to go with a nice, clean lake. I like pools for lap swimming but the chlorine fries your hair and dries out your skin. I swam in a pool every day for 3 years, with a swim cap, and my hair was so damaged. I don't live near the ocean obviously, but ocean water tastes bad and burns when you have a cut. Going to the lake on a hot summer day feels awesome. Lake Huron and Lake Michigan actually have waves and there are sand dunes on some so you get the fun of the ocean without the bad seawater. And no sharks.
Rivers are really nice if you want to go tubing, just lay on a tube or floaty thing, maybe bring a cooler, and let the river take you.

It all depends on where I am.
In China? PRIVATE pool only. Public pool... never ever ever. I'd never swim in the ocean, rivers or lakes around here.
In Canada and America? All depends on where I am. I'd take the first water that is deeper than my shoulders.
In Mexico... ocean first as long as someone swims with me as swimming by yourself can be quite dangerous. If I'm by myself, then the pool.

Pools are the norm, vastly prefer outdoor to indoor. Rivers are fun too. Pacific Ocean.

Pools are the most accessible for me. Lakes can kind of freak me out because I don't know what kind of fish, leeches or other stuff I might run into. Although last summer I got to go swimming in a lake at a resort and it was very clean. That was a blast, swimming until it got dark out and watching the moon come out. An added bonus was my hair felt super soft afterwards.
