I love pools! Or lakes... kinda. I miss the springs in Fl. I'd love to go back and swim in those all summer long!
What is your first choice to swim in?

Pool. I'll go in the ocean to my knees. and I'll float in the river

i love to swim in all things but its kinda hard to swim in the oceans with the waves, currents n what not.... lakes are fun but i don't go there to often when we do we drive up to inks which is amazing!!! i live in south Texas so i live at the river we go tubing probably 2 times a month but that's not really swimming in it.... So pools would be my fave just because its close and easy

Pool, I love the smell of chlorine. But I don't mind lakes and ponds. I'll go in the ocean but not very far out and I usually will use a boogie board because ever since I got stung by a dying jellyfish that was washing up on shore, I have been terrified of getting out too far and being completely in the water .

Yeah, I prefer a pool. I don't dislike swimming in lakes, but I don't like the sand or soil much and not being able to see very far into the water, and I always have this back-of-the-mind fear that I'm going to accidentally bump into a fish or something. Same for the ocean, and in fact I haven't swum in the sea ever since that one time when I was a preteen and there were dead jellyfish everywhere on the sand.

Where I grew up their is a mountain brook which feeds into a deep pool. One of the sides is twenty feet above the surface, which is great for jumping from. The opposite side is a gradual increase in depth.

The best part though is the naturally formed water slide and small cave that in order to enter you must pass through a waterfall. Inside the water has carved out just enough of a bench for two to three people to sit on. A great make-out spot.
Best part is, very few people know of it, so rarely are there any crowds.

Pool first, then fresh water. I really cannot stand the way sea water smells.

Pool! It's kind of funny, we once took a trip to Wildwood, NJ, a huge boardwalk and beach. The beach was right there, and so was a water park. Well I had far more interest in the water park or the pool at our hotel. The beach was okay, it wasn't like the beaches in Delaware, you had to walk a ways to get to the water. I don't care for sand or salt water if I have other choices.

Live an hour from ocean and nothing beats it.

I don't swim

i prefer the sea, which is not the ocean, contrary to popular belief. i didn't know that until i lived on the mediterranean sea. it is saltier, floats you easier, and doesn't sting your eyes when you open them underwater. in parts of the med the water is so clear you can see straight down for 40+ feet or so, and the 'beach' is only boulders. they cut your feet and are lovely.

The pool. Least likely chance of critters in the water. Nothing like a fish brushing against your leg to trigger a sissy screaming fit. HA.

I prefer lakes! I live near the largest one in Minnesota and I spend a lot of my summers at the beach!

I like the ocean and natural bodies of water. Pools always seemed "unhygienic" to me for some reason, although I'm sure in reality the opposite is true.

I do not really like swimming
05/24/2012
Lakes are my favorite! Pool chlorine hurts my eyes and, while I love the ocean, I don't like salt water in my orifices.
05/24/2012
Pool but, my 2nd choice is the lake.
05/24/2012
A pool for sure. I don't like the idea of fish coming near me or touching my legs.
05/24/2012
Definitely a pool and preferably my pool.
04/26/2013
I guess pool. Definitely not a lake. I think of Lake Jesup and the tons of gators in there.
04/26/2013
Pool, if I'm swimming laps. Lake if I'm just hanging out and swimming for recreation.

A pool! I don't like swimming in the ocean

If push came to shove for what is the obvious, I suppose I would choose warm tropical waters. But, I would still choose to skinny dip in those warm tropical waters.

Pool! If my backyard was bigger, I'd get my own.
04/26/2013
I don't feel comfortable in lakes, rivers or the ocean.
