Very funny vids thanks - it seems even the libs like John Stewart realized the adoration of Mr Obama had gotten out of hand.

One little know fact is that about 1 year before he decided to run for president - Obama was asked if he would run for president and his answer was no - I don't have enough experience yet. What changed in 1 year? Well we've learned not much - although eminently electable, his own assessment was correct, he lacked the experience to succeed at governing.

I agree. Congress hasn't put forth any solutions for anything in a long time. Frankly, partisan politics has been a blight on this country lately. There is so much fighting along party lines that nothing gets done.
This!

Everything's partisan politics.

I agree with your observation about how people just thought everything would magically change once Obama took office. It took a long time for things to get so bad, so I cannot see how people can expect it to be fixed overnight.

I voted for ... more
Haha I love the South Park reference. This is so freaking true!

Exactly right! If anyone wants to volunteer...We need our men alive. It has gone on too long. How I wish the killing of men were not so profitable to ALL the fat cats. I makes me too sad for words

And to an other post, going with "the lesser of two evils" is the Republican? Aside from Herman Cain, who has NO chance of being elected (the South has to vote, yanno) I don't see one who doesn't qualify as ... more
I do not see any who do not qualify as evil either P'Gell. That is the real problem above all. Who will REALLY help our nation? Not a republican, not a democrat. Everyone is upset to the boiling point now. I'm afraid (really afraid) that someone even worse is looming in the background waiting to be our "rescue" and those who are desparate enough to need the false sense of temporary relief will go for it. Who CAN we trust after what we've been put through already?

I just want to go to the jungle somewhere and eat bananas with Cheeta, swing on vines and swim naked! You know, you can live off coconuts alone. I'd do it in a heartbeat too (dreaming)

I'm a Democrat. I voted for Obama and I'm proud of it. I'll vote for him again in 2012. Most of the criticism leveled against him is unfair, and much of the reason his policies have failed is because the Republicans have made it very hard for him to actually do his job.

That being said...

He's a victim of his own hype. He got people believing he could change the world and he can't. He promoted change, and then let Republicans walk all over him when he got into office. I strongly believe that if he actually was able to do the things he wanted, and if he had the balls to stand up for himself and his party, we'd be a lot better off as a country. I'm not opposed for voting for someone else with good ideas, but the Republicans are solely focused on making the rich richer, and that WON'T help the rest of us.

I agree with you on the over-hype. The lib media made it impossible for Obama to live up to the hype. It made it easy for them to ignore all the other dems in favour of Barack - but in the end it'll be what does him in.

What you not want to admit is that post-election he had a huge majority in the House and a substantial majority in the Senate. His failure with this overwhelming advantage lead to the voter outing his cronies at mid-term.

I'm ambivalent to his reelection - he was not experienced or seasoned enough when elected, but by the time he's done he will be ready. Maybe he'll pull a Putin in 2016!?
