I'm a Democrat. I voted for Obama and I'm proud of it. I'll vote for him again in 2012. Most of the criticism leveled against him is unfair, and much of the reason his policies have failed is because the Republicans have made it very hard for him to actually do his job.
That being said...
He's a victim of his own hype. He got people believing he could change the world and he can't. He promoted change, and then let Republicans walk all over him when he got into office. I strongly believe that if he actually was able to do the things he wanted, and if he had the balls to stand up for himself and his party, we'd be a lot better off as a country. I'm not opposed for voting for someone else with good ideas, but the Republicans are solely focused on making the rich richer, and that WON'T help the rest of us.

I agree with you on the over-hype. The lib media made it impossible for Obama to live up to the hype. It made it easy for them to ignore all the other dems in favour of Barack - but in the end it'll be what does him in.
What you not want to admit is that post-election he had a huge majority in the House and a substantial majority in the Senate. His failure with this overwhelming advantage lead to the voter outing his cronies at mid-term.
I'm ambivalent to his reelection - he was not experienced or seasoned enough when elected, but by the time he's done he will be ready. Maybe he'll pull a Putin in 2016!?
