Honestly, I think I would. I'm not close even with my immediate family and I only have a few friends I actually "like" (which sounds mean). If they liked me before, I'm sure I could make them like me again. And then I'd be Hella rich!
Just a fun poll to make you think...

Being a mother, I could use money. But if the cost was my son losing the memories of his mother and all that love that we have built... Screw the money. My son is my life and I wouldn't want him to lose those memories for anything.

I love the people in my life too much to gamble with our relationships. I don't have children or a career, but I feel like it isn't worth the love I have to have that kind of money. But I am also a very social person.

Okay so here is the scenario:

Okay so here is the scenario:
You are offered 1 BILLION dollars, but the catch is, is that everyone you have ever known (even your family), will lose their memory of you. So basically, you are a stranger to them.
You are able to become close with any of these people that once knew you, but you will have to rebuild the relationship from the ground up. Also, telling them about past memories together is useless, as they will NEVER EVER remember (and most likely think you are crazy).
You will have all memories still, but they will have none of you.
Anyways, I guess this is kinda "useless" because this will never happen, but I thought it would be kinda interesting for others to think about and to read eachothers replies.. Also, I am wondering if there would be a major difference between those that have a child(ren), or are married/single, etc. less

No, I'd refuse the money. My family means more to me than money. Now, if I got to pick and choose the person I might.

Yeah I'd do it

I could never rebuild the mother-child connection and that would just about kill, me money or no. I have no doubt my guys would love me again...and I have no contact with my family and in many ways it would be a relief to be a stranger to them. Besides, I'd miss all the shared memories I've built here at EF!

Nope I'd still be voting to pass on that one. Who would I share all the wealth and good times with, if not my kids, my guys, and my friends?

For the people who voted "No, I'd refuse the money"; would you vote differently if it were say, 100 billion dollars?

Never. My family is everything to me.

I could never "sell" my friends and family! I feel like crying because to lose them would be the end of life as i know it! I could never ever ever ever do it! Not for all the money in the world! And the thing that i would regret the most if i did it would be losing my niece! I helped raise her from birth when she was a preemie. I cried the first time i seen her and i would die without her.

Single here, most of my closest friends I've made in the past few years (so I think we'd be able to become friends again if they couldn't remember me), and I don't have a lot of close family, so I'd have to say I'd take the money at this point in my life. I'm sure if my situation were different and I had kids and a husband, I would say I wouldn't take the money.

I would take the money. I have a two year old but I can easily build the bond back up that I have with him because kids just love me. With my boyfriend it would be strange because we live together.
Even though he would never remember me. He is smart enough that if I told him what happened.....the whole drawn out story that he would believe what I was saying.
Also I don't talk to my other family members so it would not be a big deal for them to forget me.
