If my parents were not in the picture, I'd highly consider taking the $$. But At this point in my life, I'd say no to it! Definitely makes you think though, great question!!

Okay so here is the scenario:
You are offered 1 BILLION dollars, but the catch is, is that everyone you have ever known (even your family), will lose their memory of you. So basically, you are a stranger to them.
You are able to become close with any of these people that once knew you, but you will have to rebuild the relationship from the ground up. Also, telling them about past memories together is useless, as they will NEVER EVER remember (and most likely think you are crazy).
You will have all memories still, but they will have none of you.
Anyways, I guess this is kinda "useless" because this will never happen, but I thought it would be kinda interesting for others to think about and to read eachothers replies.. Also, I am wondering if there would be a major difference between those that have a child(ren), or are married/single, etc. less

Considering "everyone" includes my kids, no way, no how.
10/23/2011
I'd refuse the money, my family and friends mean more to me.
10/23/2011
It would be difficult to turn it down, but rebuilding one's life from the ground up, I simply don't have the energy for that.
12/27/2011
No way! I wouldn't want to be alone. I couldn't be alone.
12/27/2011
It wouldn't be worth it, to lose the memories, the bond, the inside jokes with my loved ones. I'm broke, but I wouldn't trade the shared memories I have with people for any amount of money.
12/27/2011
I'd take it. My mom would like me. I would like her. most of the rest of my family I'm sort of meh with anyways. My uncle's cool.
It's also motivated because I'd put the money towards good things. I'd start and run a foundation to rescue horses. And other shit. *nods*

i lean towards no, but wonder. most of the people i'm close with are older, so if it were the type of deal that never went away, i'd merely wait and take the money later. if it had to be accepted that moment, i'd probably say no.

I guess I could always build up the relationships again, some of the memories would be good to forget so I could start new and have better relationships with certain people, but some of the memories forgotten would be priceless.
I have a strong urge to say I'd take the money, but an even stronger urge to refuse it... but maybe only because I feel like that's the more "acceptable" answer... ughhh, let me think about it... less

Hell yes, I'd do it. I WANT to start over with most of the people closest to me, anyways.

I wouldn't do it all. I don't want to lose all the friendships and how they came to be.
01/17/2012
I'd refuse the money. I get really attached to people, and I don't think I could handle everyone forgetting about me. And money isn't really that important to me that I'd risk losing that. As long as I can get by.
01/17/2012
That is crazy tough... but, I feel like im leaning towards a yes =\ notsolidly, but if I could rebuild my relationships with people...
01/17/2012
NO WAY!!!
There is no money what could pay for losing all the good W/we have had with my Master, it would be fuckin heartbreaking, so I would definitely refuse it!!!

I would have to say NO. A lot of people I'm friends with are pretty closed off people and I would have to work really hard to regain their trust. Although I'll admit, there are a few people I wish would forget me.

There's a lot of people I would rather have forget me, but I wouldn't want certain people I'm close to forgetting me so no.

I would never take the money. My relationships are too important to me. Besides we all need a few close relationships to function and be happy! Everybody needs somebody is my theory. It would just be too painful to lose what I already have. Money can't buy love and trust and only provides temporary happiness.

Honestly I'm torn, because there are plenty of things I'd like people to forget about me.
01/31/2012
Absolutely not-I'd rather be poor and have my family then be rich and not know them.
01/31/2012
I would absolutely take the money. I have never been very close to my family so this would be a great way to escape from them without leaving them wondering where the hell I disappeared to.
01/31/2012
At first I was going to say yes, just because I've always thought about moving away and starting a new life. But finding and developing the friendships I have now has taken me many difficult years, and no money is worth losing any of that. Although it has been very difficult being happy with what I have and where I am in my life, I still am extremely grateful to at least be loved and supported.
01/31/2012
I would take the money because most of the people I have known I wish that I didn't.
