It really depends on how many responses there are. Sometimes I read them all, sometimes a few, and honestly, sometimes none.
Be honest. How often do you reply to a thread without reading the responses before yours?

Most of the time I read the stuff before me

I always read all the responses before posting.

I have to see the replies. I might not read all of them though if the thread is too long.

I MAY scan, but some threads are many, many pages long! IF it is something I'm really interested in, then, yes, I would read them all

I admit. If the thread is more than one page long on a topic I have an immediate answer for I won't read most of the posts.

I tend to read some of the responses most of the time, especially if it's something that I'm really interested in, but I often won't read the whole thread. I agree with the others who've posted that when there are tons and tons of replies, I'll skim through rather than reading everything. Sometimes I'm just not interested in reading the whole response that someone makes, either because I don't find them interesting or because I think that they'd just piss me off.

I see a lot of responses that fly in the face of what the originator of the thread asked, and also many responses that either parrot what someone else said, or ended up nearly insulting a previous poster by what the post said or how the poster said it. I also see comments which were previous posts made unnecessary by their statement of fact, either because someone before them posted a link to research or fact or due to the way someone else said something.
I think this could be eliminated if everyone actually READ what others had to say in a thread before posting. Also, reading other community member's ideas could help jell one's own responses, but maybe help us think about our own biases.
So, how often do you reply to a post without reading what the posters before you have tried to say?
I think this thread will prove itself.
