There is nothing like the feel of a new real book and I could never live without them! But I do read e-books sometimes, especially in bed in the dark when my husband is sleeping. They're also nice to take on vacation and to the beach, etc.

I love the look and feel of a real book. Plus, no one is tempted to steal your real book or your real book doesn't glitch/require charging/breaks.

I have a pretty extensive book collection, but i also enjoy the accessibility to e-books. Honestly, theyre great. One, you can find them for damn near nothing, if they arn't already free. Two they give one accesses to books most cant find with larger print and makes it much easier for people that have eye problems or people with learning disabilities. Like Miss Nessa said, it's much easier to carry one device filled with a plethora of books rather than cluttering up space in your bag/purse/carry-on/wha tever. Finally, many e-books has have the novelty of turning a page (making a noise much like that of when you turn the page of a physical book) with the swipe of a finger.
While i do like physical books because of their smell, variations in covers among copies and cover art, along with cover textures both e-books and physical books are great. so long as you're reading something, who cares!

I don't really have a preference. I'd be fine with getting an e-reader for books that weren't particularly special to me, but I'd probably always want hard copies of my favorites.

However, I feel like an e-reader would be very helpful for my mom, because she has a hoarding problem with books and they're taking up way too much space in our house, and she refuses to get rid of them in case she wants to read them again someday. So I would never agree with people who demonize e-readers or anything like that, as I can tell you from experience that trying to fit as many books in your house as you can in an e-reader is extremely... unpleasant.

I prefer a real book, but e-books are so much more convenient. I was looking at Kindle Fire HD over Christmas with my wife, but ended up going with a Nexus 7 instead. The Android OS in the Kindles is kind of a hack job just for Kindles and we wanted a bit more freedom to do other things as well, they were both the same price anyway, and you can still use Kindle reader anyways.

I like both. I like real books for textbooks, instructional books, and poetry. However, I use ebooks for fiction.
