E-books Vs Real books?
07/23/2012
I like both, as long as I can read I am happy. Also as long as writers keep writing, I don't care what format they publish in

I like having a real book in hand that I can flip through and fold pages

real book, have a few bookcases full of them.

Definitely real books! Usually the times I'm curled up reading are the times I want to be awaaaaaaay from the glowy screen!

As a research writer of early American history, I read a lot of books and other documents. I want to write along the margins, fold a corner of the page(s), and underline sentences or paragraphs as needed for later recall or reference. I can find a section or page a lot quicker that with an e-book.

With a real book, I can also have the book autographed by the author!

I prefer real books, but ebooks are nice sometimes, too. Just, oddly, they cost more than real books at times.

I like both, but I usually only get a physical copy of a book if I really like it.

I have lots of both!!! I have 1-3 bookshelves in every room of my house. I also have nearly 1000 books on my kindle. I love to read!

I have not really been reading too much lately. But I do have Kindle for my cell and pc. I use it when I am out out appts and such.

Real books though I think I might be buying a kindle soon.

I haven't read e-books because I don't have a compatible device. I tried to read a book on the computer before but it wasn't very enjoyable so I'm sticking to real books.

it needs a hardcover for me to buy it

I prefer real copies of books. That being said, I have just discovered that I can turn my ipod touch into an e-reader, and I do enjoy how convenient it is.

I like real books. That said, there are so many free eBooks. It's also nice to take an eReader with you on a trip. It's also nice to keep in my purse so if I'm waiting somewhere (sometimes even in a long grocery store line) I can read!

E-books I love my kindle

real books! that new book smell and the book i your hand nothing beats it!
07/24/2012
I like them both but I read a lot so having a kindle saves me time (in finding the books) and a lot of space. I use it every day.
07/24/2012
Real, I just like the feel of turning the pages.
07/24/2012
I buy ebooks and hard copies for different purposes. I don't really prefer one over the other. My purchasing habits are guided more by how I'm going to be using the text.
07/25/2012
I definitely prefer real books but I chose "Other" because most often I read authors who are self-published on the internet.
08/19/2012
I prefer physical books especially older ones
08/23/2012
I personally prefer "real" books but I write e-books so, well, I'm glad e-books exist too.
08/24/2012
Both, depends on the kind of book. It's handy for all my science fiction collection, which would be amazing

I love ebooks. I don't get why people love paper books so much - reading is so much easier on my Kindle and I've never understood 'book smell'.
08/25/2012
I like the feel of a real book in my hands and I like being able to flip the pages and see my progress. It's also nice to not have to look at a screen since I spend so much time on a computer anyway.
08/25/2012
I don't see it as an ultimatum, why can't you have both?
