What Tuesday said is exactly what I think. Seriously, there have been times were I wished I could "like" a post the same way facebookers do. I like how your knitting forum does it better because there are more options for how you think or feel about a particular post. I really like all of your ideas. I'd vote for them. I only have one question about the ignoring ability. Why not just unfollow that person instead?

-options to mark a post 'agree' or 'disagree' to save users from replying just to say "What Kindred said is exactly what I think." Actually on my knitting forum, these two options are available along with 'educational', 'interesting' and 'love.' I find myself wanting to click these options all the time, then I remember that this isn't my knitting forum.
-the ability to delete or edit individual posts even after someone posted after me.
-the ability to follow a user with a selection on their flyout profile.
-the ability to click on something in a user's flyout profile to see all their posts in a particular thread.
-the ability to ignore a user and not see that users posts.
The ability to merge duplicate/similar threads would be fantastic. I would volunteer to help with that. less
