I'm one of those people--if I think it was a good review; that's all I'm going to say.

I'm not going to leave a long, flowery comment unless something sticks out and tugs at me. A good review is a good review, and not every comment needs to be a soliloquy.

There can be legitimate reasons for multiple accounts on the same IP - spouses, roommates, etc may all want their own account rather than sharing.

"Spam" comment - I usually try to combine ideas in a single post, but sometimes they're replies to previous posts where quoting the context seems as though it helps, in which case I do post multiple replies in a short(ish) time period. Thoughts? less

Commenting on reviews is actually a little tricky. If it was written well, and you do not have any questions about the product, what else do you say? It would be great if every review could spark a great discussion, but honestly, the two reviews that are most likely to have longer comments are: a review on a hot new product, or a bad review. In both cases there is a lot to say, or ask. less

Apologies if this has been asked/answered already, I just don't have the ability right now to read through all 6 pages of posts here.

I'm supremely glad to see the Points Farming aspect. Truly, little else has annoyed me so very greatly than the conduct that has been occurring because of the Points. The useless profile comments (I get one daily it seems, whereas I used to get one monthly), the useless forum posts and of course review comments.

My question is: How do we report it? I know that this community is huge and I can't expect that there are enough mods to catch every PF activity. less

I know Stormy already addressed this, but I would like to add something. Yes, if you are suspicious of abusive behavior and want to report it, (obviously you wont have hard evidence) but at least be able to explain to us why this is suspicious. The more information we have, the easier it is for us to investigate.

As far as your claim about people having extra accounts to vote on their reviews, I am sure you are right. Because people only notice the out of place negative activities of multiple accounts, it is a lot harder to detect these. However, once we begin to investigate these situation, it will become very obvious to use what is going on. less

Playing devil's advocate, but when I've pointed out similar patterns before, I was informed that there was nothing that could be done without definitive proof. My situation was where I found a reviewer that I felt did not write very good reviews but received Extremely Useful from another account. This other account had a similar screen name and coincidentally only voted on the other persons reviews. I agree, there is no definitive evidence, but people aren't going to list the same email under each account. So barring that, what evidence is required? less

Just curious - I have a couple of friends that want to support me in my reviewing learning process and log on to Eden just to read my reviews. I doubt that he reads other reviews at least when it comes to female toy reviews because it's my writing, not the content ( although they are sex toy consumers and have ordered from Eden) that interests them. Is this wrong? less

Point Farming:

Activities just to earn EdenPoints, that have no value to the community, are considered “Point Farming”. The following examples of point farming are not exclusive; the Forum Moderator can determine when other activities could be considered point farming. Some examples of point farming are:

- 01: Repeated following and un-following of manufacturers and contributors.

- 02: Posting emoticons as comments or forum posts.

- 03: Numerous threads and posts being created that offer nothing of value to the forums. While we do encourage questions about products being asked on the forums, we ask that the questions first be researched on the website for an answer and then asked via the forums if a satisfactory answer was not found.

- 04: Uploading several videos to EdenTube that are irrelevant to EdenFantasys.

- 05: Posting multiple forum threads sequentially. It’s one thing to have a question; it’s another to post the same question five different ways on different threads.

When investigating EdenPoint abuse, we consider all activity, not just occasional out of place actions. If you are doing nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. If you have any questions, you can always contact us. less
