FallenAngel, yeah, glad you saw my "Hello". I will catch you later, have a sane & safe shopping trip, lol!

That actually gives me an idea. I'll talk with the developers to see if there's a way to create a gallery in the published review. This would allow you to post as many pictures as you desired and still give the reader the option to not view them if they don't want to.

I don't know the likelihood of it happening, but I'll ask.

All good things to mention. Have you ever watched or read a review from CNET?

- Power/Sound level/Buzzy or Rumbly (if it vibrates)
- Size/Texture/Flexibili ty/Feel(especially for silicone toys, along with if it collect lint/drags across the skin)
- How difficult or easy it is to clean (might not need specific instructions on how to, however some newer users wouldn't know that information).
- Whether or not it comes with storage and if I need to find my own. Knowing what the packaging is like is also important to me since I have children and have to be more careful with disposing of packages that aren't discreet.
- Experience. What the person typically needs for stimulation and how this particular product worked for them. For example, I need more pin-point stimulation, so it would be important to note that when reviewing a broad toy that didn't quite work for me.
- Whether or not it's truly waterproof. I've had a few toys die on me because they were labeled as waterproof when they actually weren't at all. This is super important since it would be a real shame to think a toy is only to end up ruining it.

Yes, I have been on CNET and read reviews.

I am most concerned about the users experience with it and why or why not they liked it. If they do a good job explaining why, then even if they disliked it, I can at least decide if I would like it or not, regardless of their preferences.

That actually sounds like a good idea. The only issue is that the images would probably need text with them to help explain what the particular image is showing.

Right on, this is what I think we all look for in reviews. For me, packaging doesn't really matter -- I don't have kids and I don't care what my neighbors think, either. For you and other parents, it's an important detail and the reviewer would mention that.

The statement, The packaging has uncensored nudty on it or The packaging has censored nudity and adult language on it should suffice versus This package has really clear picture of this chick's giant tits and it's really declasse is a bit much and is not an unbiased statement.

You can add text to any image using Paint or download GIMP for free.

I think too often we get off point in reviews. I've done it countless times myself. I have a few of my own reviews I need to catch up on and I'm trying to be mindful of not letting my personal opinion influence the overall quality or design of the toy. It's such a subjective topic and it's really easy to cross in and out of my own opinions when this feature could be something someone else loves.

For instance I hate pretty much any and all rabbits. There hasn't been a single one I've tried that I've enjoyed and I have some pretty high-end stuff but then I read other reviews and the person is like this thing is absolutely fantastic.

I love the Smart Wand like it's my favorite kid (weird reference but first that came to mind) but no one else seems to really enjoy it as much as I do.

Oh did you know the official way to test the vibrations of a toy is to touch it to the end of your nose? Hahaha, I can't remember where I heard it, I think it was on some reality show. They were all in a toy store and you see these women touching vibrators to the tips of their nose and ooohing and aaahing over different models. It was hilarious.

Isn't a review supposed to be all about opinion? Unless every person who reviews here first goes through the mentor program, how could you expect such statements to be avoided? And even if someone goes through the program, that doesn't mean these statements won't pop up.

No, actually it's not supposed to be about opinion -- it's supposed to be about experience. The two really aren't interchangeable. An opinion is something which can be formed with no knowledge or facts whatsoever. Experience is something gained from doing.

Unbiased reviewing is like unbiased journalism. This is why I think it's important the questions are reworded...

It's fairly simple to learn. Perhaps the developers will find the time to include an option to add text in the gallery, if it's approved.

They might not be interchangeable, but people are going to include both. There are going to be people who take reviewing really seriously and work hard at wording things properly, but everyone else is just going to ramble on about what they think.

It's available on the site for anyone to see, whether they're logged in or not, but shouldn't go beyond that.

(Stormy would know better than I)

That's a really great thought, but it's not going to be the case. Not everyone considers reviewing a job or responsibility. It's a hobby and something fun to do. There are many reviewers who are rather blunt with their reviews and don't filter anything. Are they not good reviewers because they don't word things just so?

Glad to ease your fears. Our shipments also arrive in plain packaging with "Web Merchants" as the return address so as not to alert the carrier as to the origin of the package.

This isn't about good or bad. This is about presenting the information in the most logical and streamlined way. You were a descriptive reviewer, you know the differences between those reviews and just stating personal opinion. The entire point of the mentor program is to teach reviewers the best way to present information.
