I have these blue and orange silk bell bottoms that I absolutely adore. I'm a little bit too tubby to wear them right now, because of course they lack stretch, but things like those make me wish that I could take a day trip back to a seventies shopping mall.

I love the seventies. Everything was horrible and yet everything makes me recall my childhood. My brother's grass green first communion suit, my mom singing along with the Bee Gees. Wonder Woman. Suffering Sapphos!
What about you? What one thing screams seventies to you? Was it the most horrible time? Or chock full of awesomesauce? less

I thought it was funny when they tried to bring back the "Harvest Gold" appliances.

My very first apartment with the avocado and orange appliances and dishes. Still have the graduated avocado mixing bowl set.
The seventies were a time of turmoil for me, having graduated high school in 1971 I waited to move out of the house 3 years later when I was 21. Between that and the Vietnam war, I don't know which was worse.
