The Seventies. We've got a pretty good range of age groups here on EF; folks who were teens in the seventies, folks who were born in the seventies and folks who have only experienced the seventies via that Aston Kutcher show.
I love the seventies. Everything was horrible and yet everything makes me recall my childhood. My brother's grass green first communion suit, my mom singing along with the Bee Gees. Wonder Woman. Suffering Sapphos!
What about you? What one thing screams seventies to you? Was it the most horrible time? Or chock full of awesomesauce? less

Disco is my pick from that list, but honestly? Full bush is what popped to mind.

hey what about guys with long hair, shag carpet, pressed sawdust furniture w/ imitation wood grain finish, and micro-mini skirts?
for me the seventies were a great time - first time for sex,got my driver's license, graduated high school, Santa Cruz was my daily playground, came of age, first job, first car, when my life as an adult began, married, traveled all over the US, lived in some of the most beautiful as well as some well known towns/cities, bought my first house - I could go on and on

I instantly think of the eye makeup...light and shimmery with a liquid cat eye

They all do! But disco really does!
12/22/2012
those yellow rotary phones.
12/25/2012
Evil Knievel. I think Disco is really the 80s to me.
12/25/2012
im one of those peopke who onlt k.ows about the 70s from watching that ashton kutcher show :p so my answer is disco. even better: rollerdisco
12/27/2012

Definitely disco

I'd go with disco. Or those mirrored walls with the splashes of gold paint on them.
03/03/2013
The #1 thing that screams '70s to me wasn't on your list! It's bell-bottom pants, you can't get anymore retro than that.
03/03/2013
Orange clothing and orange furniture.
03/03/2013
Pretty much all of them, but especially disco -- and who could forget the disco lights. . . not the balls on the ceiling of the dance floor but the lights you could buy for your home.
