This is really disappointing...

A lot of people like to save their toy packaging for storage -- especially for their luxury toys. Sounds like this won't be an option with the new shipping method.

I got my order in an envelope today. My glass cologne bottle and plastic bottle of lube was wrapped in that paper packing they use for boxes. I had a male masturbator and the box was completely crushed and the toy was out. I'm glad the toy was in plastic inside the box!

This is just horrible! All our merchandise is getting crushed, and if they are coming out of the boxes you are going to be able to feel what they are...

I received a package last week that was packed in a box. I guess this must be a very recent change, but I'm still very disappointed by it. I guess I'll have to be extra careful with ordering glass from here.

We're already paying extra aren't we? It was Free Shipping on orders $35+ until a few weeks ago.

And last year it was something like 59USD for people living in mainland USA only. Personally, I'd love to see people in mainland USA pay international shipping or at least prices to Canada shipping for a little while.

But, if my wishes were horses I'd be a gambling woman. Or at least a woman with wide open spaces.

Yeah but the cost of shipping is inversely proportional to the customer base. Generally, the more you ship, the lower your rates. More EF customers since last year = lower shipping costs this year (that doesn't factor in inflation or any carrier rate increases of course).

And I'd love to see people in China pay the same international shipping rates for their domestic mail that we get charged when we buy online. That's not going to happen either

I received another package yesterday and assumed it would be in a bag, but it was in a box. I'm thankful for that, but am not sure how things are going to go from now on. I've never received a bag...

This is all really surprising to read. I ordered two bottles of lube in PLASTIC bottles, and they came in a box twice as large as necessary, wrapped in paper as if they were porcelain dolls!
What a bizarre mix of judgement...

Yeah.....I'm not getting this at all. I have gotten things in a box that was way bigger than it needed to be and I felt horrible that they used such a huge box. I don't know how I feel now that an item came out of it's box and was rolling around in the bag. Almost everything I order off of eBay comes in a bubble mailer or one of those bags but I don't ever recall packaging getting all banged up to the point the product was out of it's box inside the bag/envelope. I use bubble mailers when I sell on eBay and have never had a complaint. I don't think they are pulling the bags tight enough, honestly. That or they need to shove some packing paper inside them to avoid things getting tossed all over the place inside.

That would be a really quick fix - I know that when I ship using bubble mailers, I always leave about a finger's width of space, so that things have a little bit of air as a cushion, but then tape the rest of the packaging down to keep things in place.

I've had the same thing, I'm guessing it's because it's UPS and not what op used? Not sure but that's pretty horrible, I'm glad none of her stuff got ruined but it was still very risky.

So, maybe we as users should come up with a list of things we want in order to feel safe buying things again. Examples:
- A choice at check-out with boxes costing a little more.
- Orders over a certain weight or fragile orders should go in boxes so as to not risk envelope tearing.

I don't think that would fix it. The problem is that bags are soft and if they get knocked up against then the items are going to get smashed, especially since most toys come in boxed packaging. I had a Fleshlight in my last bag and its box is very wide. It's easy for things like that to get crushed in a soft bag.

I would love to have the option to pick a box at checkout.

I just don't get why the orders are so mixed; why are some boxes and some aren't? What are they basing it on? ?? got a box for 2 lubes, but I buy a Fleshlight and a njoy and I get a bag? ???

I just received my order on Friday in a bag. To be honest the first thing I thought of was "Oh, I guess I'll see if I'll be having the same issues as the people in that thread". lol I'm glad that my toys were safe, but the Tantus boxes were somewhat crushed on one side. I was able to bend them back, but I can definitely see how it could be bigger problem. It's weird. I couple of months ago, I received a HUGE box from EF for a body tickler. Something they could have stuck in a poster tube. Strange that their changes for packaging would back peddle in such way. I don't even like shipping small things in bubble envelopes. Too many variables that can do damage.

I haven not been using USPS priority for a while now as I have had the post office literally loose my packages from other companies. I either pay the extra for UPS or use the UPS Sure Post method. My last package was in April, and came in a box like always. I will say that one of the toy boxes was partially ripped and looked covered in dust, but all my items were fine so I didn't care.

I am starting to photo document things now though for my reviews, so just taking a picture of any unsafe shipping and submitting a ticket is not that much more work. My next order is going to be a BIG one though so I think it should be safe.

Oh no, I hope the package I get today (Je Joue Fifi) isn't packaged like that. I love the je joue boxes and love reusing them. I don't think they would fit in an envelope -fingers crossed-

I received my first bag today. Everything looked pretty intact, and there was a bag around my liquid item. However, the bag wasn't closed in anyway so if the liquid had leaked it would have gotten all over everything.
