Once that's done, pin the “right side” of the fabrics together (the visible edge of the hem should be on the outside for both pieces). Now sew along each edge that you haven't already finished. It should end up looking something like this.

No, make sure that the top edge with the hem along it stays open. You're going to want to sew the other 3 sides shut

Next get out your braided straps. Keeping your new bag inside out, decide where you want the handle to meet the bag, and pin it in place by its “tails”, making sure you're not pinning the bag closed. Do the same on the other side.

Super sexy and obviously the others guys are ignorant jerks. I remember at a job saying how I would like a guy/hubby that was a good cook and could at doing hair. My hair how I would love for him to be able to do a french braid ( i am horrible at doing my hair and when young my mom would braid for me) a male co worker looked at me like I had said the most insane thing in the world. Most cook and hair stylist are straight men can't see I it would be crazy for me to want one.

So if you are doing a hand stitch, you could glue/seam tape the first step and then hand sew this step, eh? Then you could do a whip stitch, I'm thinking.

Your stitch name has gone right over my head I'm afraid, but yes, you could absolutely glue/seam tape the seam down to sew it by hand. I imagine that would make things a lot easier to manage.

Now you'll want to sew these into place, trying your best to stay on the already hemmed area.

Side note.... totally off topic. I can hear my Mr downstairs slapping his wrist where his tattoo is healing and it's cracking me up!

I guess it might be more like a loop or binding stitch.

Slapping it can relieve the itching without taking scabs off

It itches and you're not supposed to scratch because it can pull scabs or cut the healing skin which would ruin the tattoo.

Will you be upset with me if I made the "airplane over head" motion again?

Seriously tho, should be pretty easy

Now this T-shirt was pretty flimsy, so it might not last the longest as a bag, but the sturdier your shirt, the sturdier your bag.

ooh I love that you know your stuff. I have heard of seam tape it also has another name right. You use the iron to stick to pieces of fabric together and good idea to do that when doing a hand stitch.

I say you do a workshop on all the hand stitches there is. I curious to know about them especially the Whip stitch.
